Is there a rule of thumb for how much fragrance to but in bath bomb recipe.

There is no actual nut product in this fragrance.

How can Black Raspberry VANILLA have no vanilla content?

Fragrances are often a blend of many other notes that create a singular smell. Our Black Raspberry Vanilla does NOT contain any actual vanilla but rather is made of other synthetic fragrances that mimic vanilla. Vanilla Almond is another odd fragrance that does NOT contain any vanilla but has a strong vanilla scent because of the other synthetic oils in it.

Are there any fragrance (not flavor) oils that are safe for use in lip balms?

Yes there are! You need to check the IFRA Document for the specific FO that you would like to use. The first usage guideline listed on the document should be for lip products and it will display the maximum amount that is skin safe in your product. If you are having trouble finding a specific lip safe FO, please contact our Customer Service Department and we will be happy to assist you.

If I'm unhappy with the scent once I receive my fragrance oil, am I able to return it even though I opened it?

According to the WSP customer service section, no: "We are unable to accept returns on any cosmetic ingredient, fragrance/essential oil, candle wax, candle colors and candle wicks as once it leaves our possession we cannot guarantee it's purity." From personal experience, some fragrances smell just AWFUL out of the jar, but amazing after they are blended into a product, so give it a try! Or, check with local soapmaking groups - many frequently do trading, so that may be an option.
