Reviews

"Works great for lotions that have fragrances with vanillin they no longer turn a darker color"

This one is a keeper

"I highly recommend this one over the vanilla color stabilizer. Even though this one says in the description that it is for lotions and liquid washes, when you receive the bottle, the label also states MP soap. I bought both because the descriptions gave me the understanding that this one was for lotions and liquid washes, and the other was for MP soap. Anyway, they both have the same directions for use so I compared them, making several pairs of MP soap using the same fragrances, colors, and even clear. I don't know why the vanilla color stabilizer gets such good reviews because every one of those turned color on me and the soaps I made with this one held their color perfectly and the clear one stayed perfectly clear. This one is definitely a keeper, great product. By the way I but lots and lots of products from WSP and I have been absolutely pleased with all of their items, except for the vanilla color stabilizer."

A MUST HAVE

"This keeps my soaps and lotions from turning brown. It has a strong odor out of the bottle but that fades quickly. If you make anything with Vanilla for Bath and Body, you must use this."

Lynda (5/5)

The cure!

"Thank goodness for this product! Totally takes care of the browning problem if used as directed. Yes, the smell is off-putting at first but completely goes away after the product dries. Be careful though, it has the tendancy to change the color of some product dyes."

Works great, a must for lotions with vanilla

"This stuff is awesome. I love that i can get my lotions back to that creamy white color instead of brown."

Katy (5/5)

Works well!

"So far everything I've used this with has kept it's original color. Will be using this product for all of my washes and lotions. Easy to use and works great!"

Lisa (5/5)

Great Product

"I started making lotions and I use a lot of different fragrances that have vanilla so this is a must have product."

Belinda (5/5)

Good Product!

"I love that you carry this product because I'm not able to find it locally. As a new soapmaker imagine the horror I felt to see that my beautiful loaf turned brown. I did some research, found I needed stabilizer and I came right here to this site because I knew if I needed it. . . . you all would have it. I made more loaves using the stabilizer and now I can rest easy knowing they will keep their color."

Angela (5/5)

Excellent

"Great products! really helps keeping the lotions white."

JUDY (5/5)

A must have

"The only stabilizer I will use. I couldn't be in business without it."

Q&A

Hi,If I'm using this product for body butter yeah only contains a mixture of hard and liquid oils, arrowroot powder, cetyl alcohol and crafters choice vanilla fragrance oil, do I require this stabilizer to prevent a change in color? Thanks
No, you typically do not need to use a Vanilla Color Stabilizer in a body butter because stabilizers are formulated for water-based products like lotions, washes, and creams. Since body butters are anhydrous (contain no water), the stabilizer is unlikely to be effective.
Hi, I just realized that I used the vanilla color stabilizer lotions/ washes on the cp soap I made last weekend? The color actually worked pretty great. I tested the soap few min ago, saw no change in color or performance. Has lots of bubbles, feels great. Is it a problem ?
I dont think it will be a problem but maybe over the span of time the soap may turn brown
Do I need a vanilla stabilizer for alcohol-based Hand Sanitizers and alcohol-based Room Sprays? For sugar scrubs, would this be the right vanilla stabilizer to purchase too? Thank you.
Vanilla Color Stabilizers are designed for water-based products. They are not needed in alcohol based products. For a Foaming Bath Whip Sugar Scrub use Vanilla Color Stabilizer for MP Soap.
Do you need a vanilla stabilizer in body oils (argan oil)
Hi , You do not need to add Vanilla Color Stabilizer to a body oil, the oil are already a yellowish to amber color, VCS To prevent fragrance oils containing vanilla (vanillin) from turning lotions and washes brown
I mixed up my Vanilla Color Stabilizers and used this one for my bath bomb instead of the CP type. Well, my bombs fell apart. I decided to use it in a loose bubble bath product. My question is: is Vanilla Color Stabilizer for Washes and Lotions safe to use in a bath product. I assume it is, since it is safe for the lips, but wanted to double check. Thanks.
Good thinking - we repurpose our bath bomb 'fails' the same way! You did your research - you're right, the VCS for Lotions & Washes is safe for use in bath products.
