Directions

Use unscented (as-is) or add Fragrance or Essential Oils at a ratio of up to 1%. Our water-soluble colorants blend in beautifully. This is a cold mix formula, so no heating is required. It is super easy to create your own lotion. Just add your scent or other additives directly to the base and hand stir at room temperature with a spatula. Easy to customize with additives such as shea, mango and cocoa butter up to 10%. Do not exceed heating above 104F (or 40C) as you will risk separation.

For external cosmetic use only. Not for ingestion. Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children. Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.

"Love this base. Absorbs well, has a thick, luxurious consistency, and handles fragrance well. You DO need about 1/2 ounce per pound to cover the herbal undertones that are still present in the formulation. It doesn't smell bad on its own, but there is definitely a touch of chamomile that carries through, even though it states that it's unscented. For me, the trade-off for a marvelous skin cream is worth it. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!"

"This is such a wonderful base! My customers absolutely love it. It leaves skin utterly silky. . . . often for days. It does have its own smell but it seems fairly easy to cover up, especially with a fragrance oil like Kai. The texture is really soft and fluffy and it truly does not leave a greasy residue. My only minor gripe is that it has dimethicone in it, which can be a bit controversial. It's a shame because the rest of the ingredients are so damned good. I look at it as a compromise for something that feels this good. Absolutely wonderful product!"

Would this be suitable to use as a whipped lotion?: yes
I would like to know if I could add Magnesium Oil to this? If so, in what percentage by weight?: We have not added Magnesium Oil to this base. Fragrance and Oils can be added up to 1%. Butters can be added up to 10%.
How much beeswax can be added to this base?: This is something you would need to test. Try adding a small percentage initially to see if beeswax can incorporate.
