Testy but workable
"I'm not a huge fan of straight patchouli, but this one isn't too terrible. I make it because my customers like the scent. If patchouli could smell clean and fresh in a eucalyptus way, this would be it. It's refreshing and airy. The reason I gave it 4 out of 5 isn't because of the scent. If you use this fragrance in cold process soap after you reach trace, you may notice ricing and acceleration like I did. That was the first time I used it. I incorporated the fragrance with my oils and clay the second time around. Then, I added my lye and stick blended to trace. I used a slow moving formula the second time, and it made it so much easier to come to trace without any ricing, which was awesome. For reference, my first recipe had hard butters and soaped under 100F. My second recipe didn't use any hard butters and soaped under 100F. I'm not sure if that made a difference, but I hope this helps someone else looking to make soap using this fragrance. The scent lasts and is very present without being overpowering. My standard for soap is 3% unless the fragrance is weak, which this one is not."
