Rapid acceleration
"This fragrance has become one of my most requested soaps. It has the longest lasting scent I’ve ever experienced for a rose soap, but holy cow does it cause some crazy acceleration so I can only get a single colored loaf and have to work in small batches. I use it in CP soap and have been very successful. I combine all my ingredients at 100 degrees for the lye and oils for all my soaps, so for those who choose to use this in CP, here’s some tips. The biggest thing is to obviously measure out your fragrance first before you start cooking, and add it last. After you’ve melted and blended all your oils together with your lye and mix in whatever your single color is in the pot, bring it to a VERY LIGHT trace and no more. Add your scent to the pot and mix quickly, pouring your soap into the mold and scraping everything out with a spatula, then tamp down the mold on the counter a few times to force it to settle so you don’t end up with holes. You’ll have about 30-60 seconds to work with your soap after you add the scent (depending on your ingredients) before it begins to rice at the bottom and start seizing in the pot. Good luck!"
