Sleepy Lavender Lotion (from scratch)

To microwave-safe mixing bowl, add MCT, Apricot Kernel Oil, Emulsifying Wax and Cetyl Alcohol Flakes. Place in microwave and heat until waxes have completely melted.

Add water to microwave-safe measuring cup. Heat in microwave for 3 minutes.

Stir lavender water into warmed water.

To plastic beaker, mix fragrance oil with vanilla color stabilizer. Let sit for two minutes.

Slowly pour water into melted wax mixture. Using stick blender, begin to blend on low speed.

Add glycerin, vitamin e, fragrance mixture and color to desired shade. Continue to blend until mixture seems well incorporated.

Check lotion temperature to be sure it is below 176° F. Stir in the preservative and then continue to stick blend for a few more minutes.

Let lotion cool down to around 80°F. Stick blend for 30 seconds then fill bottles to approximately 4 oz. by weight. Any remaining product can be divided between the bottles. Let product cool completely before applying tops. Lotion will thicken as it cools. Trim dip tubes to fit the length of the bottle.**

Label product accordingly.
