Staff Answer When determining label size we suggest you purchase the product prior to purchasing labels so you have the product in hand. This way you can judge exactly how you would like your label to be placed on your product.

For the 4 oz. size, I use a 2" round label on the bottom of my jars (fits into the indented area of the bottom nicely). A 2" round on the lid will leave about 1/4" of blank space around it, or a 2.5" fits just about perfectly. I use a 1"x4" on the side, and it goes 3/4 of the way around the jar (leaving some space so you can see what's inside) and covers completely top-to-bottom.

I find a 2.5" round label fits great on the jar lids, with a tiny bit of room to spare. Onlinelabels template OL2683 is a perfect fit.

"Perfect Little Jars!"

COMMENTS: These jars are absolutely perfect for lip balms and product samples for customers! I used for sample sugar scrubs and body butters and my customers were thrilled to receive with a purchase. "Great containers for specific salves and lotions."

COMMENTS: I love these small containers! They are ideal for giving out samples of lotions and salves that you prepare and want others to share and tell you theirs likes or dislikes. They are ideal for specific salves that don't require big batches. I put lotion for cuticles in one small container and gave some to family members. These little containers are great for lip balms and are easily kept in your purse or pocket. I will definitely not run out of these!

COMMENTS: These are nice jars for lip balm and samples of virtually any beauty product and one would create. A bit pricy if not bought in bulk, for "samples", but if you make upmarket products and tend to buy large quantities at a time then they are a great investment! They don't come with any sort of liner, however, so if you intend to sell then I advise purchasing the press and seal liner and/or the shrink band to avoid product tampering.
