The warm glow of crackling warm woods blended with a hint of sweet raspberry and vanilla.

Cold Process Soap Test Results:

15% coconut 76, 10% shea butter, 5% castor. No water discount.

"My husband LOVES the Fireside fragrance sold by Brambleberry. Unfortunately that's the only thing I buy from them. Does this smell close enough to that fragrance that I can get rid of brambleberry all together?"

COMMENTS: There has been exactly one fragrance I legit could not stand, and this is it. I store this one separate from all my others in case it’s contagious. It’s less “smoke” than “raspberry syrup burnt onto a cast iron pan with notes of migraines.” Everyone’s nose is different, and some people have found the resultant soap not unpleasant, but, uh, try it before you commit to it.

"Very unique smoky scent"

COMMENTS: OOB this fragrance smells like wood smoke and barbeque. I used this at 5% in my cold process soap and it behaved very well. I did read several reviews before I used it and saw one that said it turned her black soap green! I did have some discoloration with my black part while soaping, but several days later it is still black. I used red, orange, yellow and black to make a firey soap and so far so good! The smell is very similar in my finished product, that wood smoke with barbeque, and I really enjoy it. My partner says it smells like a slow cooked stew and a campfire. I really do like this fragrance, it just does not smell strictly like a campfire

	"Smells like a fake bacon scent"
COMMENTS: This, both oob and mixed in my body spray base, smells like a fake bacon scent. Think Bacos bacon bits. I mixed it with a few other scents to tone it down, but it still creeps through giving an artificial smokey bacon scent. I just can't get over that part. Doesn't smell like a campfire to me at all.

COMMENTS: this doesn't smell like cologne and other stereotypical man smells like alot of "firewood" scents. this smells like alot like birch tar, which is similar to liquid smoke if you're familiar with that. you can add extra cedarwood or sandalwood to this if you want less smoke and more wood, but its a pretty darn good balance already.

"Behaved well"

COMMENTS: Definitely discolored my white portion to yellow but in a wood grain type soap, it went with the theme. It does accelerate Trace but then again I work with a steep water discount. It was still wonderful to make good size in the pot swirls, so definitely workable. I did not experience any ricing at all. The fragrance held very well and is pleasant for a campfire type soap.

"AMAZING!!"

COMMENTS: Don't know how there are any negative reviews on this. I love this scent and so do my customers - it's my best seller and has been for years. Please don't ever stop carrying it or change the formulation - it's perfect! I've already gone through 4lbs or so of this and am back for more!

"not good "

COMMENTS: So this definitely smells to me like mesquite bbq but also firewood but not in a nice way. It is very strong and off putting and I'm hoping it mellows out as it sits. For now I really do not like this scent and will probably not sell the whipped soaps I made with it. Definitely disappointed. I even tried adding some holiday scent into it to tone down the smokiness and it did not help. I could have made it lighter but then the scent isn't there, or I added more and I just really do not like this scent. I wish I could send it back.

COMMENTS: Don't judge this scent by oob. It smells awful at first sniff, HOWEVER once used in MP I can smell the other notes, the woodsmoke smell is less overpowering and I'm very impressed!

"Terrible smell"

COMMENTS: I love camp fires. I love the smell drifting in the air when a neighbor is burning wood in their fire pit. I'm just going to be blunt here. This scent is absolutely terrible. I would give this a negative 5 stars if I could. I gagged when I smelled it first, but I thought I would still give it a try. I know that everyone has different tastes (and noses!), so I figured that there was at least someone out there who would like this. So I began soaping. I cringed at opening the bottle, but thought, Here we go! As soon as the oil mixed in my batter, I immediately felt ill. The scent was so overpowering, I legit thought I was going to throw up. I ended up throwing the whole batch out, because as it was curing, I couldn't step foot in my office without gagging and always felt like a migraine was coming on. FYI, I do not get migraines often. Maybe once a year, twice if I have a bad sinus infection. I normally love smokey scents, but something about this just didn't sit right with me. Buyer Beware!

	"A big no for me"
COMMENTS: Goodness gracious this fo gave me a migraine. It definitely has a smell of a camp fire but yuck theres this weird nasty note, I cant quite put my finger on. I will not purchase this again. While my husband says "what would u expect by the name ,I think it smells like wood" my reply why "Its missing a comforting note maybe sandalwood I dk" I'm destashing asap. If you like a campfire weird smelling woodsy like strong in your face wood burning then you'll love it. It also has a weird sweet note that throws the whole fo off. Yuck

COMMENTS: I have been looking for this exact scent for a while. I live in the mountains and love the smell of burning wood, its like a comfort thing for me. "Family's Favorite Candle Scent"

COMMENTS: I make wax melts. I purchased this one and the Fireside. I will tell you the difference. Fireside has the deep scent of the ash or hot coals. Cracklin Fire has the added smoke of almost a bacon scent. It reminds me the smell of one of my classmates in grade school. He always smelled like bacon, to later learn that they heated their house with a wood stove. This would be a good version of a smoked bacon scent.

"Smells great, but lightens a bit"

COMMENTS: I love the smell of this fragrance... LOVE IT. But once its in and cured, the smells seems to lighten a lot. I've tried to anchor the scent in clays, keep the soap ungelled, but I can't seem to get it to stick strongly.

COMMENTS: Completely unique scent -- definitly smells like smoky sweet campfire. Honestly, OOB it smells strange but don't let that turn you off. But once it's in soap, it mellows out and you can smell all the nuances of the fragrance. I like it best blended with other fragrance oils, but some of my students really dig it on its own.

"Great Fire Scent"

COMMENTS: When I first opened the bottle, it smelled like burning coal. When I used it at 6% for my CP soap, the next day it smelled like carrot! but after a few days of curing, it gives out a nice smell, it is warm, very nice for winter and cold weather. But I had seeping problem, I think most of it seeped out my soap while curing although I didn't use more than 6% as recommended. but the scent is still there and I might order this next year.

"smells JUST like a bonfire!"

COMMENTS: My sister asked me to make a lotion that reminded her of a bonfire - this scent did not disappoint! She told me that "that lotion was spot on, perfectly scented"! my husband is a firefighter, so I've smelled my share of fire, ash and remnants...this nails it right on the head!!

COMMENTS: I love this scent! Don't be fooled by the OOB fragrance - it cures really nicely in soy. It mellows to a lovely, smokey campfire scent. I've poured it straight and also mixed it with a vanilla marshmallow oil to make a s'mores scent and it's been a hit with customers!

"Firewood"

COMMENTS: I found this fragrance because I had a customer request for a firewood scented soap. Who knew that existed! This smells like a night at the campfire and has great staying power after curing. Get ready though, it's potent, my whole soaping room was scented like a fire while it was curing!

"crackling firewood fragrance oil 618"

COMMENTS: I received this fragrance oil as a free sample. I fell in love with it. The fragrance is perfect! Reminds me of a far off camp fire.I wouldn't say I could easily pick out the vanilla or raspberry scent. My Husband is a volunteer firefighter and he is particularly fond of this sent. It reminds him of the fire house. The fragrance oil did discolor to a dark tan. I feel it gives the perfect coloration in a bar of soap, no colorant needed. I would recommend this fragrance oil for beginners, it behaves very well. Definitely keeping this fragrance oil in stock. My customers keep returning for it.

"Excellent scent"

COMMENTS: This scent more reminds me of cutting wood with an electric saw and it burning a bit, I smells nice and is not overwhelming. I would suggest using it in men's products.

"Perfect Fall scent"

COMMENTS: I used this to make cold process soap and was very impressed with how well it worked. It caused no acceleration or ricing. It gave a slight discoloration but I think it will work well with my soap. I will be able to tell when it is fully cured. The smell can be a little strong so I used it at 4.5% and it is perfect. I would order this one again.

	"Smokey Firewood - Sweet and Firey"
COMMENTS: The description of this scent is accurate. It smells like a fireplace or a sweet bbq that is smoldering. Smokey, a tiny bit sweet, and calming like winter in the desert. I made a wax tart/melt with it and the throw is nice. It smells good in melt and pour, but a little bit softer. In lotion it's true to its oob scent. I think it would make an interesting body butter as well. Try it! You'll like it. :)

COMMENTS: I don't understand the poor reviews on this scent. I loved it. My soaping partner did not want me to order due to the mixed reviews but she is a convert now. It smells just like a campfire. I had no seizing or ricing issues. I colored my soap so I can't review on discoloration. We will order again. It is a perfect fall scent.

"Very interesting!"

COMMENTS: This scent does smell like a campfire. I really like it and it is a very good scent for guys. It will be great to market closer to the holidays and hunting season (for us Texans:) You have to use quite a bit in soaps though, as it takes a little more for the scent to come through.

COMMENTS: The OOB smell is a bit much, but this really makes an interesting cold process soap. My male customers love it. Great fall scent. While it's great in soap, it's even better in candles! Excellent hot and cold throw. Discolors to a light tan in cold process, but seems to work for fall soaps. Makes a good "Halloween" type scent.

COMMENTS: I do like this. I used it as a mixer with another fragrance from another supplier and it's nice. Good manly type fragrance. I would like to try in CP soap, but it has mixed reviews so I don't know if I will, but it might be nice mixed with another scent in CP as well. I can imagine it would be great in candles, but I don't make them myself. I would recommend this to add to your fragrance stash!

"winter fragrance"

COMMENTS: Great CP fragrance oil. Very well-behaved; no acceleration, I had plenty of time to do a multi-color swirl at a light trace. Discolored to a light brown, perfect to compliment the scent. The scent is wonderful- very smoky and comforting at the same time. A great winter fragrance!

"Give it a chance..."

COMMENTS: I first bought this to make cold process soap. However, when I opened the bottle, it really did smell like crackling firewood! But I thought, who would want to smell like this? And I then I was disappointed because I thought I could not use it. However, this is a fantastic fragrance for candles! The fragrance is very realistic and highly recommended. This is perfect substitute for that great fireplace smell.

COMMENTS: At first I thought this smelled just like Liquid Smoke. Reminded me so much of bbq ribs that I was almost afraid to use it in candles. But I went ahead and did and they are awesome!!! They need a good cure time and I used 1oz oil to 10oz wax. Like another reveiwer said, you'll need to wick up or double wick because it will tunnel badly. This is a wonderful and unique scent and I can't wait to offer it at shows! Smokey and woody with just enough sweetness!

I don't know how they get it to smell just like that and people ask me all the time what I do to my candles to make them smell so authentically like a fire. Crafters Choice magic. (This is a very powerful scent and will make your whole house - and likely, you too! - smell like it for hours immediately after you have used it in an application. I went into my classroom after using it and smelled like a forest fire all day!)
