A great pink with many shades
"This is my favorite mica maybe of all time. It comes through pink of course in CP soap, but can be suspended in oil and swirled in for a more true color. I go through more of this than any other color. If you want it anywhere close to a deep color you'll have to add heaps of it but normal usage lends a lovely pink."
My favorite color
"It looks so beautiful. I already used it for my shampoo bar, and now I’m going to add it to my homemade eyeshadow!"
Such a pretty color!
"I used this in a lip balm and it’s so pretty!"
Amazing color
"This mica is the best Red ive purchased"
Surprising and Fantastic
"This scent is so fun - out of the bottle it is sweet, with heavy notes of pineapple and a touch of pumpkin. This is the fragrance you get when using as a lotion, Melt and Pour, Sugar Scrub, etc. It is a bright summery fragrance. When used in Cold Process, the scent morphs into a perfect pumpkin fragrance. My customers can't get enough of this scent either way. I do name them differently depending on their application since the scent changes so completely. A best seller!"
Lovely Dark Red
"Crimson is definitely the best way to describe this color. It's not a true, bright red, but much darker. I would not really call it a wine, as most wines have a purple tint to it. Regardless, a lovely crimson red. Performed well in y CP soap."
Nice full red color that's not too bright
"Nice deep color but not too dark and definitely not a berry red. Good Fall red."
Nice sparkle
"For a darker red, this has a really nice sparkle. I'm look sparkly things and this is right up my alley!"
Love this Color!
"Just the color I wanted for my wine soap!"
Q&A
- Is this suitable for hand creams and lotions?
- This can be used in lotions and creams
- The INCI for Crimson Red Wine Mica Powder references fluorphlogopite, and some of your other colorants, such as Martini Olive Green Mica powder, just list mica in the INCI. What is the difference?
- Fluorphlogopite is a synthetic mica which is used in the production of these particular mica powders.
- I've been asked for a Cranberry color soap to match your Spiced Cranberry FO. Would this be a color I can use? If so, can you recommend usage rate/% ppd of CP soap? Thank you!
- This would be the closest color we have to cranberry. We do not have a specific usage rate but you might start with 1 teaspoon per pound.
- Can this color be used in candles?
- This color cannot be used in candles. It will clog your wick.
- What is the best way to color lip balm? I tried Regular Mica this morning and wasn't able to get the oil to pick up the color.
- You need to add quite a bit of mica to get it to come off on the lips. We have used both the Crimson Red Wine and the Coral Oil Locking Micas to get a deep, dark color.
