Q&A

I love this soap and have added the colloidal oatmeal powder but I still feel like its not hydrating enough and the soap did not become firm when I tried to add some oils how can I make it a little more hydrating without losing the lather?

You can test adding a very small amount of a humectant, but blending it with another soap base is the simplest method that doesn't compromise lather and hardness, and tends to provide better results. Consider blending with a shea, cocoa butter, or honey MP base.

do you need to let melt and pour soap cure

It doesn't need to cure because it's already saponified, but it does need to set or harden which can take around a couple hours.to a day.

I made my first batch of soap with the Goats milk melt and pour soap base. Came out just wonderful, but why is it melting so fast. I have used it 2 days and it seems like half the bar is gone! What can I do to make it last longer?? Thanks

Softer, nourishing soap bars are more likely to dissolve quickly in water. Too much fragrance and liquid additives contribute to a softer bar, while proper drainage and drying after each use will prolong its life.

what temperature does this base have to be at to pour fragrance into?
