Rancid smell

"I was looking for a cucumber melon scent similar to the bath and body works scent, I used to get it at Michaels before they switched companies with their EO and I've been on the hunt for that scent ever since. I would sale out of that scent at markets. If anyone knows what type of cucumber melon scent I'm talking about can you provide the name please. I have returning customers asking for that specific scent. The cucumber melon I received smelled rancid I still tried to use it but I didn't like the end result. It smelled rotten honestly."

Beautifully Musky

"A keeper! OOB has a slight musky scent but not over powering. Notice slight ricing at light trace but no acceleration, seizing or discoloration. This lovey scent held up well during the soap making process and preformed perfect in sugar scrubs and lotion bases. Great hot and cold throw in soy wax."

"Was not sure what to expect with the mixed reviews. Turned out I LOVE this fragrance. It reminds me of walking into a hippie shop in the 70's and smelling that wonderful earthy incense smell. I find this scent to be very GROOVY! Behaved well in my CP soap. I will buy this regularly."

I'm a longtime KARMA fan and I LOVE this FO

"I am a self proclaimed ""LUSHIE"" and I have used the Karma scented products for years before purchasing this FO. Knowing how serious some folks can be about the karma scent, I had to be certain about the dupe scent before I put it in my products and placed it on my shelves. This scent is so spot on, I can hardly tell the difference between this and the true karma when I smell blindfolded. That's saying a lot! My customers love it, and rave about this being the truest duplicate they've ever used. It makes me happy that they're happy and I tell everybody that I got it from the BEST FO supplier I've ever used, WSP!"

Such an upscale fragrance!

"I'm not familiar with the name brand, so I can't comment on that. However, this is a really nice, upscale scent. OOB, I wasn't really impressed initially. It smells very heavily of patchouli, which I'm not a huge fan of. In soap, on the other hand, it rounds out to such a nice, warm and clean scent that reminds me of those hotel soaps that I would snatch in my suitcase. In CP, it does accelerate trace a tad, but it is workable. It will discolor to a light yellow-beige, which can probably be countered with some titanium dioxide. I wouldn't say the scent ""morphs"", but it does change a little. I have also used this in candles and bath fizzies. I would say in these applications that the scent is more like it would be OOB, but if you go light on the scent, it's very nice. I used 7% in an all soy container candle, which has good cold throw. I haven't lit it yet, so I'm not sure about hot throw. Overall, I would definitely get this one again."

Q&A

Even though this is an EO and FO blend, I am presuming it wouldn't be safe in lip balms?
This is not safe in lip balms, you can check the IFRA on all fragrance oils to see if they are lip safe.
Thanks for the quick response below! I now understand I need to change the title for soaps -- would a title like this be okay *as an example*: "Destiny Soap (Compared to Lush's Karma)" ?I just want to make sure that if people want a dupe of this scent, they know this is the dupe.I also make wax melts & reed diffusers as well -- if I make this scent into one of those instead, would "Karma Type" be okay or should that be changed too?-Thanks!
We would not recommend using Lush Type on any of your products. We would recommend staying with the "Compared to" on your products.
Can I say "Karma Type" - For example: have the title of my product as "Karma (Type) Scented Soap" or do I need to change the name? -Thanks!

Can this oil be used in a diffuser?
Yes, fragrance oils can be used in diffusers. Just blend with a few drops of water before using.
