"This small silicone loaf mold is green with straight sides, but I received a red one with more angled sides, like a bread loaf."

"I have not used this mold yet, but I think the little kids will love it."

Wonderful for travel size or samplers.

"These are just a little bigger than a quarter (maybe 50cent piece if anyone knows what those are anymore) They are Wonderful for travel size or samplers."

Good but not great

"This mold is so cute but is really not very good for soap. My first use went great but my second and third attempts were failures, ruining my soap. I brushed mineral oil inside the molds and my soap still would not come out, even after 3 weeks in the mold. I ended up running hot water over the back of the mold just to get the soap out which basically melted the surface of the soap."

They are Okay…

"I have about 4 of these and use them all time. . but, a couple of them have a bend in them that I have to constantly try to bend out, and because of this bend the middle spaces have gaps when connecting to the tubes. I use them, because the price is right and it is what I have. But I don’t love the trays. I also wish the lip around the edge was a little bit higher."

adorable embeds and toppers

"What can I say? each 1/4 oz (ish) succulent makes an adorable little accent or embedable mp soap."

My favorite Large Loaf Mold

"This is my go to loaf mold, it makes great size bars and fits well with 4x6 shrink wrap bags. Sturdy."

Q&A

I Pam-sprayed this mold, as the directions on your website suggests in the description, and my 5-pound soap stuck and absolutely refused to come out! I let it sit another day, and the same thing - I literally had to stick my fingers between the sides and the soap to finally get it out. What a shame and a waste of $16 - I'm sticking to silicone from now on.
We are sorry to hear your soap stuck in this mold. Another tip is to place the entire mold in the freezer. This will help harden the soap so it can be unmolded. Also, here is a link to an article we have on this subject: http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/handmade101/learn-to-make-articles/simple-secrets-using-plastic-molds-for-cp-soap.aspx.
How sturdy are these really? Ive had terrible times with any Milky Way molds in the past.
We feel these molds are very sturdy. They are made of clear PVC. If using for MP, we recommend placing in the freezer for help with unmolding. If using for CP, we recommend lining the mold with plastic or coating with cooking spray.
How do you get the soap out of the mold?
You would turn the mold over and gently press in different areas until you see the soap releasing from the mold. You can also place the mold into the freezer for about 30 minutes and this will help the soap release from the mold.
Are the sides removable on this mold? How is soap released from it?
No, this mold is all one piece. For CP soap, you would spray mold with cooking spray or line with plastic wrap. For MP soap, we recommend placing in freezer for 30-60 minutes. If necessary, immerse bottom of mold in warm water for a few minutes.
Is this soap mold a plastic mold or a silicone mold?
This mold is plastic. Our Milky Way molds are plastic.
