Directions

Stir well. Using a plastic dropper, add color to base drop-by-drop. Use amount as desired. Adding more drops will produce a darker color. You have used too much color if your soap bubbles are not white. Adding this color to white soap will produce a pastel colored bar of soap.

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Shake well before use.

A Solid Matte Black

"I've always used a powder for black, but wanted to give the liquid black a try. Overall, I liked it a lot. Many of my M&P soaps use black or grey. This liquid was a good choice, but I did notice that it does separate. Since I had a sampler bottle, it was hard to give it a proper shaking. Once some liquid was out and there was room, I shook the heck out of it. That produced a nice, flat black."

Q&A

Can the brown liquid pigment be used to color the crystal clear shower gel?: Yes, this can be used to color our Shower Gel - Crystal Clear.
Can these be used for lipgloss, and because it says matte will it not be shiny and ruin the lipgloss consistency?: This product is approved for lip products but the outcome would depend on your specific formulation and percentages. We have not tested this product in lip gloss yet.
Can these be used in candle making (soy wax, beeswax, etc.)? And are they ok to use in Melt and Pour Soaps bases & shampoo bases?: We do not carry any colors that can be used in candle wax. These need to be oil based when used in wax. This liquid pigment can be used in MP soap and other water-based products.
Can this be used in lotion?: Yes, this liquid pigment can be used in a lotion.
The 2 ounce comes in a jar which is not liquid tight and is very messy. Does the 16 Ounce come in a jar or a bottle with a pour spout like the other liquid colors?: The 16 oz. size also comes in a jar. A jar is used to make it easier to stir the product before using since the powder and liquid will separate.
