Loved it and was ready to create a launch with it

"I loved this and it would have saved me a ton of time and I am positive my customers who are, by and large, pet owners/lovers, would have bought it . . . However the absurd refusal to post ingredients (wish I would have seen that before I spent money on it!) is a hard NO for me. My customers want to know what is in the stuff they buy! We aren't big box companies! The personal touch AND transparency is why customers buy from us! And I, myself, am not willing to put something on MY pet without knowing what is in it! Those of us who are makers are looking at this base because it saves us time and NOT because we are going to 'steal' your ingredient list. Get over it! I CAN make my own, but I am one person and this would have been time saving for me and that's the ONLY reason I was buying it! I am not required to put my ingredients on my cold processed soap either BUT I DO BECAUSE IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO and MY CUSTOMERS WANT IT! So, I'll go back to making my own so that I can continue to provide my customers the kind of service they have come to expect from me and my business. I guess I wasted my money on this. Starting to loose any interest in Crafters Choice branded items!"

OMG!!!

"I made up a batch of the pet shampoo and scented it with the Witches Brew fragrance oil. I can't keep it in stock. I marketed it as ""insect away"" because of the cinnamon and eucalyptus in the Witches Brew. Amazing stuff."

Great doggie shampoo

"I tried this shampoo on my 2 dogs. I scented it with Lavender essential oil. It lathered well, rinsed well and they feel soft, look shiny and don't itch. It is a product I will incorporate into my line since my 'babies' seemed to do so well with it."

love this and so do our customers

"I like this base because it is easy to make and provides a nice high end product."

Pet Shampoo

"Made my pet shampoo with your colloidal oatmeal and lemongrass e/o. My pet has very sensitive skin and this is superior to any pet shampoo I have ever used, and at a third of the price!!"

Pet Shampoo Base

"LOVE this pet shampoo. So do my customers! I use it at home on my little chihuahua and her hair is so soft and clean after this shampoo. Had a customer just call and order 2 more bottles. Her dog has terrible skin problems and this helped! So now she wants more to keep on hand. Highly recommend it."

My Customer's pets give this ""Two Paws Up!""

"I use this base for my pet shampoo. . . although in my shop, we call it ""Pet Sham-Pooch!"" I have two different varieties. . . one made with a blend of essential oils for repelling pests. . . and one mixed with a fragrance oil just for smelling clean and fresh. They are both wildly popular and I have customers come back for them time and time again. One fun note. . . I live in Arkansas where we have many hunters, fishermen, campers, etc. . . and I sell quite a bit of my ""Bug Off Sham-Pooch"" to them for their own personal use as a body was before they go outdoors. They all tell me that it works wonderfully to help deter bugs, etc. . . . Who am I to argue with that?!?"

Michele (5/5)

Solid seller

"I use the dog shampoo and add one of the odor neutralizing fragrances and this is a solid seller for me. Have used the shampoo on dogs with challenging / delicate skins and it works wonderfully without stripping the oils from the dog's skin. I get great client feedback from others who have used it as well. A little goes a long way."

Pet Shampoo

"I tested this out on my daughter's Beagle. It felt gentle. It cleaned well. She smelled clean but not perfumed, which is nice. I have not seen any itching or other reactions to the shampoo. So far so good! I will use it on my other daughter's German Shepherd to see how she does with it as well."

Great product

"I used this base with a small amount of fragrance and my fur babies loved it I am looking forward to adding this to my product line"

Q&A

Can this base be used in a bottle with a foaming dispenser?
While we have not specifically tested this, in general to make foaming soap, you can dilute regular liquid soap with water. A common ratio is one part soap to four parts water. You would also want to add a preservative. Potassium sorbate and Sodium Benzoate are common choices.
Since the ingredients are such a secret. Where is this manufactured? And Can we add to our label the following: This product is regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission
This product is manufactured in the US. You can definitely add that note to your label.
What types of preservative is best suited for this base if adding more than 5% additives? If adding more preservative is the amount used based on the total percentage of the additions or the total final product? Finally if adding powders ( such as colloidal oatmeal) do these count for that 5% additives rules?Thank you!
We have always kept additives under 5% in pet products to avoid a preservative, as they can be unsafe for dogs. We would recommend researching the ingredients in the preservatives and seeing if they are approved for Pet use. The additional preservative would need to cover the added ingredients. Powdered additives do count as the same 5% rule.
Do I have to heat the pet shampoo base to add in Colloidal Oatmeal? If so, What temp?
Heating this base helps additives incorporate easier. We recommend heating to no more than 140 degrees F.
How much Crafter's Choice Pearlizer and booster should I add?
We recommend starting with 3-5%.
