We do have natural preservatives that can be used. You can combine any of our Leucidal Liquids with AMTicide Coconut for a natural, full spectrum preservative.

I am making the shaving cream for my husband. Does the cream lather up or do I need to add anything for him to have a nice lather?? Can I leave out the extract or replace, He does not shave in the shower, therefore I do not foresee water getting in the container. I do have the preservative/water soluble--just do not have extract or hydrosol.

Yes, this recipe has multiple foaming agents that boost lather. You can leave the extract out our use some extra Aloe Vera Oil in it's place - about 0.5-1.0 oz extra. We do not recommend leaving out the preservative, even if the product is not used in the shower water can get it or bacteria can get in from scooping with hands.

You should be fine to make this without the extract. If the product seems too dry, you can add 0.5-1.0oz more of Aloe Vera Oil.
