Staff Answer Yes, this base can hold up to 6% additives. Just be careful, adding oils can decrease lather, so it's better to start with a smaller percentage.

Staff Answer Lathanal Powder can be added to melted soap to create more lather. Honey powder can also be used to create lather in soap.

Staff Answer First, be sure you are not adding anything that might cut down on the lather, such as any type of fixed oils or butters. These will definitely cut down on the lather the soap produces. You can add honey powder to the soap to add lather. You can also add lathanol powder to the melted soap or also cocamidopropyl betaine. The soap can accept up to 6% total additives including fragrance.

Staff Answer Fragrance can cloud the crystal clear soap. If using along with embed paper, we recommend not adding fragrance to the clear soap. Fragrance can be added to the soap that is poured behind the paper. The only way to know whether a fragrance will cloud is to test it. A fragrance with vanilla is more likely to cloud than ones without but you may still find a fragrance that clouds and does not contain vanilla. Also, try not to place soap in refrigerator. This will also cause the soap to become cloudy

"What is the max additive rate for this Base? Specifically, I want to add some Hemp Seed Oil. AND Can I add the FO in addition to the additive percentage, or should it be portion of that max?"

Staff Answer The maximum additives is 6% for any soap base. You can add both hemp oil and fragrance. Keep in mind the hemp oil can cut down on the lather that is produced by the soap base.

Staff Answer You would need to look at the ingredients for each individual soap to know if it is vegan. Our goats milk, honey and shave & shampoo bases would not be considered vegan. The Premium Crystal Clear has the best clarity if embedding a toy or using embed paper. The detergent free has a more cloudy look to the soap.

Staff Answer The Detergent Free soap bases are considered our low sweat bases. We have not found a problem with using the Crystal Clear although you may experience some sweating if in a hot, humid climate.
