Our Crystal Clear Melt and Pour Soap Base is the clearest soap on the market with a clarity score of 10 out of 10 and has a luxurious, big-bubble lather. It is perfect for embed paper and creating designs where clarity is vital. Packaged in a foil‑lined, corrugated box to maintain freshness and performance. Makes (40) 4 oz soap bars.

Details

Cut soap base into small pieces, and melt in the microwave at 30-second intervals (or use a double boiler), stirring until fully liquefied. Once melted, add cosmetic color, fragrance, and other skin-safe additives—this base can hold up to 5% total additives—then pour the mixture into a Crafter’s Choice mold and spritz the surface with rubbing alcohol to reduce bubbles. Allow the soap to cool completely before unmolding, then wrap it in airtight plastic wrap to preserve freshness. Melted soap is hot and should be used with caution; recommended for ages 15 and older.

does this soap base need lye to be added to it?: You do not have to add lye to our Melt and pour soap bases.
Can oils be added to this base?: Yes, this base can hold up to 6% additives. Just be careful, adding oils can decrease lather, so it's better to start with a smaller percentage.
Is this soap base palm-free or made with palm oil?: This base is made with sustainable palm oil.
