"Hi, I need a container set for salt scrubs. Is this safe to use long-term as my products do have to sit on a store shelf or will the salt and/or fragrance oil eat the seal and the liner away? Also, any recommendation for which jar to use? I'm currently looking at 8 oz Clear Heavy Wall Plastic Jar - 89/400. Thank you."

"I package my sugar scrub in 8 oz double wall jars. I've always used liners, however I'm looking for ways to reduce packaging costs. This caused me to pose the questions...are liners "nice to have" or are they truly necessary for jars? I do not want to save money in this area only to lose money to waste/damaged product. Thanks!!"

"IT'S A NO"

COMMENTS: I really dislike these seals. I can see them working better when used with dry products like bath salts in a bottle or something, but these in no way good for body oils or shower gels. I do weekly checks on my products after they've been sealed to make sure everything is ok before final sale, and would see that the seal has broken down into my shower gels and body oils.

	"Liner is too big for 89mm jars"
COMMENTS: I've found these liners to be just slightly too big for the 89/400 jars and they do not work very well. Use with either the flip-top lid or screw-off lid, the liners catch on the threads of the lid and peel up every time! I've tried using several techniques, but no matter what I do the lid always pulls it off. If you apply one without the lid, the adhesion works well, but you will see that there is too much overlap of the liner on the rim of the jar.

"Works Perfect!"

COMMENTS: Sealed perfectly tight! Glad I bought these! I found by accident that a little bit of heat helps. They were in a box in the trunk of my car for a couple of hours and I went to go test them out and they sealed air-tight and all the way around the rim of the lid. Before, I had a bit of trouble using the smaller ones, but I think this might be the trick for me!

COMMENTS: I like to use these with my scrubs, they help prevent oil seeping out of the jar. Plus, it secures the product against people who like to open the tops to smell or dip fingers in. Just make sure no oil is on the rim of the jar top or they don't seal well. I clean the rim of my jars with a bit of alcohol before applying and adding the lid.

COMMENTS: I am so grateful for these liners! I use them to seal in my sea salt and sugar body scrubs, both of which contain lots oil. After properly placing the seal, I always turn the jar upside down and shake it before adding the top. They never fail this test and everything stays safe in the jar. I have never had an issue with any leaks or spills during shipping on any product that has these liners.

COMMENTS: These seals are very easy to press on, but I wish they would stick a little better. I notice that sometimes when I seal a product, if I take off the lid, the seal will come with it. COMMENTS: So easy to use, I seal the edges pushing a butter knife butt on them to "seal". I wish there had been some directions on the best way to seal them against the jar---I'm winging it here! Never had one leak though, they are easy to use and good quality.

COMMENTS: These seals are not only great sanitary protection for your product, but they help to keep your product in place. Without the seal, my creams get all over the inside of the lid and makes it less desirable. My customers love that they are getting a fresh, clean, uncontaminated product. The seals are a little tricky to use at first, but then gets better as you get used to them. They have to be positioned just right before placing the lid on the jar in order to get it to seal properly. Once sealed, they are great!

"A little Tricky"

COMMENTS: I had some trouble getting these to work at first but after a couple of tries got the hang of it. Keep some rubbing alcohol handy if you're using oil based products. I learned that the hard way. Once you get them to stick they are pretty perfect.

"Sealers"

COMMENTS: I love how easy these sealers are to use. You just make sure your container is clean on the top and you put it over the top and screw on your lid, the pressure does the rest. I've never had an issue with any of my sealers and I've used a lot in the last few months. I definately recommend these simply for your peace of mind, they are worth it.

COMMENTS: Perfect answer for scrub jars! My sugar scrub would leak during mailing and leak during transport to my market and these seals prevent that! Easy to apply to the jar... just make sure that you have the lip of the jar free from oil or the seal won't stick. Inexpensive and extremely helpful. They also add a nice, professional touch to the look of your products! It gives customers peace of mind to know that your products are sealed and fresh!

"Gives customers security"

COMMENTS: These liners have worked very well for my sugar scrubs. They seal well after I wipe (& let dry) the rims of the jars with alcohol. NOt a totally leak proof seal, however, I feel it gives my customers an added since of security by having the seals in place on items they purchase from me.
