Details

Cut soap base into small pieces, and melt in the microwave at 30-second intervals (or use a double boiler), stirring until fully liquefied. Once melted, add cosmetic color, fragrance, and other skin-safe additives—this base can hold up to 5% total additives—then pour the mixture into a Crafter’s Choice mold and spritz the surface with rubbing alcohol to reduce bubbles. Allow the soap to cool completely before unmolding, then wrap it in airtight plastic wrap to preserve freshness. Melted soap is hot and should be used with caution; recommended for ages 15 and older.

"I’ve used this and the basic soap for years and I’ve seen the packaging change a few times. Not only does the insert inside the box make the amount appear less, it’s extremely difficult to cut off chunks to use. I’d prefer they went back to using a plastic lined bag instead"

Can this base be used as a solid dish soap?: Yes, you can use melt and pour soap as dish soap, we have not tested this, this is something that you may need to test
What are the ideal temperatures to pour, add fragrance oils, and add colorants to this base?: The melt point of this soap is 120 degrees F. I would recommend adding fragrance and colorants anywhere between 120-130 degrees F.

I'm looking for a Melt & Pour that does NOT require wrapping - is this the one?: Although this is a very low sweat base, we recommend wrapping all soaps after making.
Is this considered a vegetable based soap?: Our myristic acid and lauric acid are vegetable based.
