"It gives you a nice range of colors. I did have a few hiccups with some of the colors. My biggest problems was with the purple mica. It is not true to color and ends up giving more of a pale grey/ light lavender color. The yellow also morphs to an orange while soaping, but it quickly changes back to yellow after a couple days. I would recommend reading the reviews for each of the individual colors before working with them."

Q&A

Are these lab made mica powders or are they mined from the earth?: These are man made micas.
Where do you source your mica from? My concern is if it is ethically sourced or not.: Our Micas are ethically sourced from China.
Can this powder sample set be used in Melt & Pour, and does the color migrate?Thank you: The colors in this sample set are safe for use in melt and pour soap and should not migrate if used at the correct usage rate.
Can these be added to alcohol, or does it have to be water or oil?: We have mixed these mica powders with alcohol when using them to paint products such as soap and bath bombs.
Will these stain the bathtub?: We do recommend using Poly 80 if making bath products as micas can stain.
