Staff Answer Fragrance can be added to the body glitter. We recommend adding between 0.5-1% or 2.5-5 ml per 16 oz. of gel. Fragrance may cloud the final product.

Staff Answer We do not know of an additive that would do this. The aloe vera gel is a little sticky by itself and should help the glitter stick to the skin. You could try adding a little glycerin. This is water soluble and is somewhat sticky to the touch.

Staff Answer I am so glad that you enjoyed this kit. When creating this recipe we did use a Tablespoon. However, because the glitter is fully suspended in gel a teaspoon is more than enough to achieve the same results.

Staff Answer You could try using the mica sparkle but keep in mind that this is a much finer product. It may tint the aloe vera gel and depending on the rate of usage, may transfer some of that color to the skin. Also, because the mica is a finer product you will not get the light reflection that occurs with the larger iridescent glitter.

Would the look, not the texture, be similar to the Golden Shimmer Stick with the mica? Also, would your other glitters work too or just the iridescent glitter? Thanks.

Staff Answer I cannot verify what this would look like as we have not tested our Gel with a mica powder. Any of the glitters and micas could be used with our gel base. You must test each one to ensure compatibility and results.

Staff Answer We would recommend using one of our stained glass colorants to tint your body glitter. Using this type of coloring will allow the glitter to still show through. You do not want to use so much color that the product stains your skin so be sure to test in small batches first.

Staff Answer Adding a carrier oil to this recipe is a possibility but we have not tested this with any such addition. You will need to experiment to determine which oil will work best and in what percentage. The base will probably thin out a bit and may cloud. While the base may appear cloudy it should still remain sheer on the skin. Your are responsible for testing the results when altering any of our formulas.
