Why does this lid not fit the clear heavy wall 8 oz container and yet the white dome lid does?: The 89/400 Black Dome lids are from a different manufacture than the 89/400 White Dome lids. They are slightly larger and do not contain a liner. These very subtle differences result in a black dome lid that does not create a tight seal and thus does not fit the 8oz Clear Heavy Wall Jars.
