"I love this fragrance and originally got it for candles because it smells so olive-y, fresh, and herbaceous, but I finally tried it in cp soap and it performed amazingly well. I don't know what I waited for. I used it in a castile soap and added the fo to my olive oil as my lye water cooled. I blended it to a nice emulsion (medium trace) and it behaved beautifully. Poured it and let it rest. Not sure if I will have any discoloration as my soap is very yellow/green atm, but I love it so far!"

"I made this butter today. The directions were easy to understand and I love the product! I called to add another kit to a current order being processed, but it is out of stock ??. That's okay. As soon as it's back in stock I will be ordering! Thanks WSP for a great kit!"

Gritty

"This kit was easy to make. The body butter feels really nice. I like the fragrance. It is a soft smell. My complaint is that the frankincense powder does not dissolve, so the butter feels gritty. I bought this kit to make Christmas presents and I don't like the idea of giving a gritty butter. :-("

"This is a kit I would make again except not sure I would use the powered Frankinsence as it stays grainy in the product. I used what was called for in the recipe I thought is would dissolve but didn't. All I shared with loves the product."

Lovely scent and feel.

"This kit was fast, easy and makes a wonderfully silky body butter. It smells heavenly. I love the way the tapioca powder keeps it from feeling greasy. The two small quibbles I have are that the frankincense powder leaves a slight grittiness on the skin and that the jars are overfull with 2. 8 oz of butter. I suppose that I whipped too much air into the product. Tapping the jars firmly on the work surface helped on the overfill, but I did have to scrape a little butter off the top to put the lids on."

If I want to replace the Frankincense & Myrrh - EO & FO Blend 594 with another fragrance to avoid the grittiness several have complained about, how much of another fragrance should I use? Do you have a recommendation for a substitute fragrance?: Fragrance would not cause grittiness, this is something that can happen if shea butter is melted at too hot of a temperature. You can swap the fragrance for an equal amount, as long as it is IFRA safe for use in body butters at at least 3%.
Can emulsifying wax be used in place of the slick fix?: No, these are very different ingredients and cannot be used interchangeably.
Can I follow this recipe and switch the Shea butter to mango butter and switch the argan oil to jojoba oil and take out the fragrance oil and would it be safe to use on infants?: You can make these substitutions, but the texture and consistency may vary. We cannot say whether this will be safe on infants. We recommend speaking with a pediatrician.
Can you replace the Frankincense & Myrrh - EO & FO Blend 594 with a different essential oil or fragrance oil?: Yes, as long as it is safe by IFRA standards you can swap for any fragrance or EO you'd like.
