Such a beautiful color in M&P

"I loved playing with this mica for my M&P soap, it has a beautiful shimmer to it and doesn't bleed at all. I tried it in bath bombs, although the color was nice and bright, no shimmer (which I kind of expected there not to be)."

Really nice shade of blue, different than usual

"This produces a really nice shade of blue that is just a little different than the normal blues. It is very nice in fizzies and soaps. Can't wait to try it in the shower gels."

So beautiful!

"This mica is simply gorgeous. It performs beautifully in cold process with no morphing at all. I have also used it in melt and pour and various sugar scrubs. I adore this color!"

Gorgeous blue color!

"Since this color is the same name as my sister, I just had to make her soaps with this mica. OMG it is gorgeous and is a constant favorite of my customers. I use in my goat's milk and clear melt and pours. Blends like a dream."

Q&A

Hi,I want to tint my body butter with this mica powder. Mixing it in, is it best done at the melted stage of the shea butter or will it mix in just as well when the butter has begun to stiffen? Also, would you recommend any other colorant product over this one?
Micas make for some of the best body butter colorants available. We find that blending the mica with a hand mixer once the butter has cooled works best.
Can this be used in making candles or will it migrate to the bottom of the candle and sit on the bottom?Thank You for your help, Rosie
No, micas should not be used in candle making.
I use this in my body oil and majority of the mica eventually falls to the bottom of the bottle. I mix the mica and oil well before I pour the oil into the bottle so I am unsure why it does this.. Is there anyway I can prevent this from happening?
There is nothing in the oils to suspend the mica. It will naturally fall to the bottom. We do not offer an oil-based colorant that will work in a body oil.
Hi! Can this mica be used in clear mp soap? Thank you!
Yes, this mica powder can be used in MP soap. It may settle a bit, so if you do not use a suspension base, try letting the soap cool and thicken a bit which will help in holding the mica in the soap better.
So, I see a lot of reviews of people using this in bath bombs, and I see one answer with staff saying it can certainly be used in bath bombs, but another answer has been removed where someone asked. Can this be used in bath bombs or not? What does "not safe for bath water" mean? Can we put it in bath soaps or soaps where the bar might fall into the water and sit? Please advise.
We apologize for any discrepancies with this color. This is not safe for use in bath bombs. Bath water means anything that would color the water while a person is sitting in the tub. The color is safe for use in soaps, even if the bar falls into the water.
