Once melted, add cosmetic color, fragrance, and other skin-safe additives—this base can hold up to 5% total additives—then pour the mixture into a Crafter’s Choice mold and spritz the surface with rubbing alcohol to reduce bubbles. Allow the soap to cool completely before unmolding, then wrap it in airtight plastic wrap to preserve freshness. Melted soap is hot and should be used with caution; recommended for ages 15 and older.

What is the maximum heating temp to melt this soap down, in Fahrenheit? Also, what happens if the temperature goes above that threshold?: The typical melt point for most MP is 115º-125ºF. Heating the base more than 30ºF above melt point may cause the soap to dehydrate and become prone to bloom. Heating the base more than 50ºF above melt point may cause the soap to become brittle, reduce lather, and turn yellow.
Is there a no sweat soap base?: Our detergent free soap bases are low sweat.
Why has the soap almost doubled in price in just a few weeks? Is this price increase permanent?: We have fought hard to maintain the same level of quality you expect from Wholesale Supplies Plus in a fluctuating market. Our soap pricing has recently increased due to higher prices of soap ingredients and elevated shipping and production costs.
Why have all of the 24 lb blocks of soap been lowered to 23 lbs?: We have decreased the block size to 23 lbs due to UPS shipping weight restrictions.
Can milk be added to this base??: You can add about 1-2 tablespoons of a milk powder to MP soap base. Mix a small amount of melted soap into the powder and mix until powder is clump free. Then add to larger batch of soap.
