What is the recommended percentage rate for this coconut flavor oil in lip products?: You can find this information on the IFRA sheet on the product page. Please review category 1. Although we recommend you start with 1% and test up.
When I look at the ingredients, all that's listed is Flavor FragranceThere is typically a carrier oil with flavor oils, like sunflower oil or MCT oil...is there somewhere with an actual list of ingredients? Fragrance doesn't typically seem natural on an ingredient label.: This is the appropriate way to list the ingredients per FDA guidelines. The product has a Certificate of Natural available under the SDS & Documents tab. The ingredient list itself is proprietary information.
My question is how are they flavor oils if they are unsweetened? What are you able to taste?: We offer unsweetened flavor oils to customers so they can have control over which sweetener is used. Our sweetened flavor oils are sweetened with saccharin, but some customers may want to use a more natural alternative.
OK dumb question--I ordered this on accident. What is a flavor oil--0% on skin?? Is it food or what do you use it for?: Our flavor oils are specifically formulated to be used in lip products like lip gloss, lip balms, and lip scrubs. It is not a food product. Our supplier only provides lip usage rates, that does not mean it is not skin safe.
Are your Natural flavor oils on the same level as Essential oils? If that makes sense: Essential oils are oils from the pressed leaves of the plants. These oils may have aromatherapy benefits. Natural flavor oils are simply flavors that have been made from fruit extracts or similar natural products but have no other benefits other than being natural.
