"Hadn't tried making something with it yet, but out of the bottle it smelled really chocolate-like, without being too overly sweet. I think this will be one of my favorite chocolate scents, as I love dark chocolate."

"This oil is a beast of a fragrance. A little goes a long way, if you use too much it can be kind of sickening. But with the right amount it smells sooo good!!"

Oh my chocolate!

"If I could bottle chocolate this fragrance oil would be it! I bought it to go with a coffee scent but, it took full control and I made a whipped soap and scrub to die for. Everyone who smells this fragrance is in love with it! Says things like, ""Wow, this really does smell like chocolate. "" It's rich and luxurious. Added with coffee FO in soap is wonderful. Add more coffee and a little chocolate because she will steal the show. LOL. It's a strong chocolate smell but, it doesn't have a hint of fake to it. I think I might order some marshmallow FO for fall and see how it smells together. It behaves in anything- CP, bath bombs, whipped soap, lotions and butters."

Did not discolor as dark as I had hoped

"This fragrance smells just like dark chocolate, and looking at other reviews I was excited to make this bar and have it discolor to a deep brown without any extra colorant. However, I make goat milk soap using 100% goat milk in place of water, and this fragrance did not behave as promised (or warned). It did discolor, but only to a light tan. I'm a little disappointed, but not enough to not use the fragrance again - I'll just have to add colorant next time."

This is a great blending . . .

"This is a great blending scent. It doesn't have a sweet candy aroma more of a bittersweet chocolate that adds depth and intrigue especially for male fragrances. Advantages: Very strong out of bottle but blends quite nicely with a variety of fragrances not just "food" fragrances."

"Amazing scent out of bottle but becomes quite mild in cold processed soap. I used olive oil,cocoa butter, coconut oil, sustainable palm oil and castor oil."

A true chocolate scent th. . .

"A true chocolate scent that holds well in CP soap, despite the relatively low IFRA safe usage rate for soap. Discolors to a light tan only, which makes it very useful if you want a chocolate scent without the dark chocolate color. It is great on its own, and would blend beautifully with so many FOs. Advantages: Behaves beautifully in CP soap. Only discolors to a light tan. Great scent retention at low usage rate."

"We ran a small test batch of this (2 lbs) of M&P Soap last week, and this smells good enough to eat! But please don't. We used this at . 70 ounces for 2 lbs. (2. 2 %). We WILL be ordering more! This stuff is YUM! Advantages: Great scentLastingLong hold on the bodyGood Flash point for working with M&P, we mixed it in at 150 degrees Disadvantages: Haven't found any yet"
