Product Details

Shimmering Dark Gold Mica Powder is an apricot gold cosmetic colorant that is safe for use in cosmetics. In clear soaps this mica produces a shimmering gold color similar to the hue of medieval gold coins. Turn your soaps, cosmetics, and lip balm to gold with this beautiful powder.

The pictured lotus blossom is clear melt and pour soap colored at a rate of 1 tsp. per pound of soap. Color will appear pastel and less vibrant in opaque melt and pour soap bases.

COMMENTS: I used this mica to stamp my soap and it came out beautifully! A word of caution though, it is very fine and goes everywhere. At the end of stamping my soap bars, my arms were very shiny LOL!

"A thousand "Wow's" in CP!!!"

COMMENTS: Oh my lordy does this mica look delicious in CP (that's the only way I can best describe it)! It looks so rich & decadent, and produces this golden honey color that it out-of-this-world!! The shimmer comes through beautifully in CP as well! I see so many uses for just this one mica alone: Used as a main colorant throughout, mica veins, a gold dusting on top, or golden flecks atop a loaf when added to a light carrier oil & drizzled/spattered as a finishing touch! The list goes on, and I truly think this is a staple color all mica-fanatics should have in their collection! True to virtually all WSP micas I've used, this color looks AWESOME in CP! No downsides here- just stunning color you will LOVE! It blended smoothly & effortlessly into the soap by pre-mixing with a bit of batch oils prior, and used at a rate of 1tsp/PPO the results are jaw-dropping & vibrant! This is now officially a must-have color for me!

"Shimmering Dark Gold Mica Powder"

COMMENTS: Is the Bomb! Such a great color can be achieved with very little of this great Mica - I'm in love! We used it in/on soap and bath bombs/fizzies for Christmas and party products and are so very pleased with the outcome. Have used 24k gold and others in past but this is our new go to gold mica as it is darker and shows up better in our products. It shines like no other I've tried. It 'made' the products jump out and say 'hey, look here'! Customers loved it in everything we made w/ it. We'll certainly be ordering this one again. It was so easy to incorporate, behaved well and just looked happy to be wherever we put it. Great job WSP!

COMMENTS: Beautiful, deep rich gold mica held well during incorporation and didn't morph. Not really into gold metallic type colorants but this one made me reconsider my position. Looks like a Fall and Christmas gold but can be used at any opportunity when wanting a more luxurious looking bar.
