Our Baby Buttermilk Melt and Pour Soap Base is a detergent free base that is white in color and produces a creamy bubble lather. It contains buttermilk, oatmeal, calendula extract, and real natural honey for exemplary moisturizing benefits. Packaged in a foil‑lined, corrugated box to maintain freshness and performance. Makes (92) 4 oz soap bars.

Details

Cut soap base into small pieces, and melt in the microwave at 30-second intervals (or use a double boiler), stirring until fully liquefied. Once melted, add cosmetic color, fragrance, and other skin-safe additives—this base can hold up to 5% total additives—then pour the mixture into a Crafter’s Choice mold and spritz the surface with rubbing alcohol to reduce bubbles. Allow the soap to cool completely before unmolding, then wrap it in airtight plastic wrap to preserve freshness. Melted soap is hot and should be used with caution; recommended for ages 15 and older.

Perfect, but don’t overheat

"I love these little jars they are perfect for cooled product, very economical. If you just use them as you would normally they are great but they are thin so be mindful to not let them get too hot or they will warp. They are a staple in my product line. By the way they absolutely do hold 2 oz of product. Pretty sure they just are using less plastic which I appreciate!"

"Hopefully this review will make the cut as I wrote a 3 star review for another fragrance and it wasn't posted. Tested this Frag in Lotion and wax melts. While I've never smelled the original fragrance, this smells as described in my title. Family and friends state it smells like the original. Would like to try in CP soap, not looking forward to the acceleration. The testing notes are w/ %50 Olive oil as Not many of us use that % in CP Soap making; hence the acceleration issues in comments. A little goes a long way in lotions & wax melts using Golden 464"

Excellent soap, love working with it!

"I love this soap base so much. I love that it contains coconut milk and coconut oil. The soap is silky on your skin when you wash with it, and lighter than some other bases. It lathers well, like all the WSP Detergent Free bases I use, but maybe not as much as the Goats Milk Soap does. I make a coconut-scented soap with this base, and it has been one of my bestsellers for years, for all genders. That soap was so popular and I got so much interest in coconut milk soap from customers at fairs that I started using it in other soaps. I like to pair it with the aloe and Olive Oil soap base, and the two work well together no matter what pattern I do (stripes, swirls etc. ) Also, I love that this base is bright white and takes colors really well."
