Allow the soap to cool completely before unmolding, then wrap it in airtight plastic wrap to preserve freshness. Melted soap is hot and should be used with caution; recommended for ages 15 and older.

Soap is great but is uncovered in box

"The soap itself is good but it just arrives in the shipping box with the top uncovered. Not protected in plastic or anything. This exposes the top of the soap to whatever after you take it out of the box unless you have plastic you can wrap it in. For products used in body are I would think it would be shipped at least wrapped in plastic to prevent contamination."

"I purchased this base to make soap crayons, which I've successfully made with other bases. This base doesn't harden, so the crayons are completely bendable even weeks after being made. It's unusable for crayons, which need to be hard."

Great Soap Base! Low Sweat And Very Popular

"I use the three butter detergent-free base for my etsy store and have gotten great feedback! I have almost no sweat at all with my bars and the base works very well with additives like goat milk, liquid pigments, and fragrance oils. I have left several bars unwrapped for weeks with no sweat at all! The best part was that with one 24lb block I was able to make about 60 6oz bars and about 48oz of sugar cube scrubs. I highly recommend this base to anyone who is looking for a semi-soft, moisturizing soap. It's easy to use, very reliable, and amazingly smooth on your skin!"

This is unbelivably wonderful soap to work with

"I ordered this because it was on sale and a customer was looking for a base that was a close to cold process as possible. I wound up carving the soaps by hand and was so surprised at how wonderful it was to work with. It takes fragrance very well and melts much quicker than other bases I have used. It does take considerably longer to cool which is something to adjust for in larger batches. I am ordering more for the re-order the original customer!"

3 Butter Melt and Pour (Mango, Cocoa, and She)

"This sounded great to try out, so I bought 24 pounds. GONE!! This has sold so fast it has been unreal. It is cream smooth, not a lot of bubbles when you pour into molds. I did grate another color and placed it in the bottom of the mold, and sprayed with alcohol, then placed a bit of lower temperature soap over the gratings of another color, sprayed with alcohol again, and then filled the mold. Lovely. . . . . . I am back to order more!! Be certain to order more than you think you'll like, it goes fast!!"

Great MP Base

"This is one of the MP bases that I use. . . and I must admit it is one of my favorites. I LOVE the creaminess this base has as a result of the 3 butter formula. . . and the fact that I can work with it without worrying about it sweating, etc in our muggy climate makes it even better. I love the pure white color and the smoothness of this formula when it melts. . . . not to mention the fact that it is detergent-free!"

Q&A

With the summer heat and shipping, what do you suggest to add the hardeness to the 3 butters base? Also, I saw somewhere on your site that you can add coco betaine to add bubbles to your M&P base, how much do you suggest?: You can add Stearic acid (2-3%) or sodium lactate (1-2%) to assist with hardness. And adding the CB or Bubble up 1% it will soften the soap.Do not add both.
What is the melting point for this base? I'm trying to go another route than the microwave.: Melting Point/range ºF: 120-125
I'm looking for a higher moisture content for my foaming bath whip, rather than the clear m&p. Would this soap base be a good one? It would it change the consistency of the whip too much?: The moisture content wouldn't necessarily change, but if you want the added benefits of butters, this could be a good alternative base to use. The Premium Three Butter MP Soap Base works nicely, but you could certainly test the Detergent Free Three Butter in your recipe as well.

Is the coconut milk powder used in the melt and pour soaps the same powder used for food consumption?: Our coconut milk powder is not food grade.
