Can I add honey powder or raw honey and if so, how much?: We recommend following the recipe as is. If you add other ingredients, you will need to test with a small batch.
Will this lip balm be ok in a tube instead of a tin?: This recipe should be fine in a tube but you might want to increase the beeswax even by just .10 oz. to make it a little harder.
What size labels fit on the tin?: We would recommend a 1" round label.
What is the shelf life of this product once it is packaged?: Finished products are best used within one year of manufactured date.
So...This makes 4 tins, suggested price of about $5 and kit is $25 so u would be losing $?: Hi Kerry - There is enough product (except tins) to make this recipe approximately three times for a total of 12 lip balms. We will be updating the kit soon. We are going to make the full kit to make sure it creates 12, and will include enough tins in the kit to make the suggested price make more sense.
