Produces a VERY Soft Soap

"This kit is a good kit - with a big caveat. It produces such soft bars of soap it is difficult to get the soap out of the mold. I am. a very experienced MP soap maker and I had difficulty with this. The soap itself is very easy to make - the recipe is so easy to follow. It just produces such soft bars. I know the Smooth & Creamy Lotion Bar Additive should help harden it up, but it either needs more or it needs something else to harden things up. If this produced harder bars it would be a winner - as it stands, I won't make it again. I am packaging it as suggested - two bars in a clear bag with curling ribbon. It's cute all packaged up - except where parts of it stuck to the mold and tore. You do have to stir, stir, stir after adding the salts, or the salts will stay at the bottom. of the pitcher you melted the soap in. I still found myself having to go back and add the remaining salts to the bars I had already poured. Personally, I would skip this project. There are so many other good ones on here. . . why waste your time on something that produces mediocre results?"

Great soap kit

"I am a beginner to the soap making world and still have a long way to go to learn all the ins and outs of making soap but I loved this kit. The coconut fragrance of this soap smells so clean to me. You definitely have to stir the soap up frequently though or all the Sea salt and Epsom salt will all gather at the bottom of the container that you have melted your soap in. Other than that though this is a winning soap kit. I was very pleased."

I love my kit and everything about it. However, I have two questions. Is there a way to get the soap to lather up a bit more? How do I use the packaging? TYA.: We love to hear that! We have not tried adding Bubble Up, but it's something you might try. Your best bet for more lather would be to swap the Detergent Free base for a Premium Base. For the packaging, we usually place some raffia in before placing the bar in the bag, then adding a bit more raffia to top it off! Alternatively (or additionally) you can tie the top of the bag with the raffia.
