COMMENTS: I LOVE this scent. Lilacs are one of my favorite things, I seek them out. This scent is amazing. Unfortunately it made my cold process soap seize, but I was working with way too hot of materials, so I don't think it was the fragrance's fault. I will order again!!!

COMMENTS: This fragrance oil is wonderful. True, beautiful lilac scent. Also, VERY strong in the coconut soy candles that I used it for. I actually dialed it back to an 8% fragrance load even tho I had no issues burning a 10% fragrance load test candle. It was also an excellent blender for a couple blends I experimented with. It didn’t take much to add the lilac to the blends. Wicking was easy and I had no issues with this FO for soy heavy wax blends.

"Good fragrance but does accelerate"

COMMENTS: This is a nice floral fragrance which reminds me a bit of hyacinth or lily of the valley. Keep in mind that the acceleration is nuts (it took my batter from watery trace to pudding in 30 seconds, no exaggeration) so you’ll need to use simple designs with this fragrance. I experienced no discolouration or ricing/seizing, and the fragrance is nice!

"Strong scent "

COMMENTS: This is a lovely scent, very strong and full of Spring!!! I used in CP soap and by day 3 my soap was smelling wonderful already. It did speed up trace a good bit so, be prepared or mix your lye and oils at room temp to help slow down trace. My mom loves the scent and said it smelled really good. I made this soap for my older clientele so... a good sign!!!

"Lovely Lilac Scent- performed nicely "

COMMENTS: I bought this scent for my customers wanting more floral scents. After reading the reviews, I was hesitant about making cold process soap. I'm glad I did. The 44 bar soap batch turned out beautiful! I didn't have any issues with ricing or seizing. I had time to do a two color hanger swirl. Can't wait for my clients to try it!

"Smells great but use caution in CP"

COMMENTS: I really enjoyed the smell of this FO but struggled with moderate ricing that needed to be stick blended out causing the acceleration to be even worse. My hanger swirl ended up being an ITP. I did a 4-color split with a lard heavy recipe and added the FO at a very light trace. I've only been soaping consistently for about a year so if I can manage, so can you. Just be ready to change plans and move quick.

"Accurate smell, accelerates quick"

COMMENTS: Love the scent, lasts long and strong in cold processed soaps. Has always accelerated fast with me. Definitely haven’t had time for any special designs. As soon as I add the fragrance it’s gotta be mixed and put in a mold fast . All my soaps contain cows milk though, so maybe that speeds things up

COMMENTS: Have used this scent in lotions with excellent results. Be very careful when using in CP soap. Acceleration is not slight. Hand stir using a whisk when adding NaOH to a constant color rather than using a power mixer to light trace. If using more than one color you will need to work very fast after adding fragrance.

COMMENTS: Not sure about all the comments about seizing/ricing; it hardly accelerated as much as I planned for. Was soaping with a fair amount of hard oils (25% coconut, 15% tallow, 7.5% mango butter) and a slight water discount, too. Had ample time to do two color layers with drop swirl. Used 3.5% of the total weight of oils. Beautiful scent, a little goes a long way.

I’ve only used it in wax melts so far, I use a parasoy blend with a little vibar added for scent throw, and this lilac fragrance fills the house with that familiar beautiful scent! "Bouquet of Lilacs"

COMMENTS: Absolutely love the smell of lilacs and this FO is spot on for me. It's a full bouquet of lilacs that doesn't get too sickly smelling. It did start accelerating even with just hand stirring and it looked like it started to rice as I started pouring in the mold (my temps were at about 93 degrees). It's fabulous in my body butter's too but a little goes a long way as far as what to add. I love the fact that this FO isn't perfume-y as some florals can be. It's spring inside my soap room (even though there is snow outside) I will definitely purchase this again.

"Great in wax, accelerates/rices in CP"

COMMENTS: This lilac scent is very spot on and you need very little to scent your products. However, when making CP, soap in low temps and be prepared to move like a speed demon. I mixed the fragrance into each color, having the stick blend to get rid of the ricing, then poured as high as I could to create some kind of swirl. Using a swirling tool or spoon to mix the layers. I'm willing to put the muscle into the soap because it is the best lilac scent.

"Smells so much like Lilacs"

COMMENTS: I have been using this in my CP soaps and soymelts for a while with great success. I thought I would try it in a liquid soap but I had less success. I usually color the CP and soymelts but decided to try a liquid soap without color but the fragrance caused the soap to turn off white and get darker over a matter of a few weeks. Liquid soap made with Lily of the Valley and Hyacinth did not change color so there must be some component of this that interacts with the surfactants or preservatives. I may have to consider coloring all of the liquid soaps in order to include this one in the product line.

"Smells Lovely"

COMMENTS: I just got through making a lilac enfleurage from the lilac in my yard using soy butter, the aroma is fantastic, but not as strong as I would like it to be since I use the scented fat to make cream perfume, so I took a chance with this fragrance oil hoping that it would increase the scent without changing the beautiful aroma, and am pleasantly surprised with the results. It only took four drops in four ounces to compliment, and not change, the natural scent.

COMMENTS: This scent is true to it's name. It smells just like that old fashioned lilac bush that used to grow at Grandma's house. Fragrant without being too sickly sweet. Very nice in shower gels, melt and pour soaps and bath fizzies.

"True Lilac - Very Strong!"

COMMENTS: I decided to try this fragrance after my usual lilac fragrance from a different supplier had run out. I had no intention of permanently switching from the other to this one, but after trying this one out, I think that this lilac scent is closer to the real thing! Other people can't get over how much this fragrance smells like fresh lilacs. I will say that this is probably one of the strongest fragrance oils I have ever used, and I would advise others to maybe use less of this oil then they would with other fragrances! I have not soaped it yet, but I see a lot of reviews are warning about seizing/ricing - this has been my experience with most predominantly floral fragrance oils from many suppliers. I have always had to move very quickly with florals - no time for intricate designs! Nevertheless, I will be attempting to try this one out in CP soap as soon as my current stock of the other lilac soap runs out!

"Smells just like lilacs!"

COMMENTS: Lilacs are my favorite flower! It's hard to find a good lilac fragrance, that comes close enough to the real thing. I've made a couple batches of cp with this fragrance, one accelerated and the other started to. I expected it, since this is a floral scent. But this was well worth it and wasn't too difficult to work with. This fragrance is strong and didn't change after curing! Several weeks later and my soap still smells just like it did in the bottle!

COMMENTS: My mother and sister love lilac. We had three or four giant shrubby trees surrounding our patio while I was growing up. I made soap for them and they cannot get enough. It does exude a happy lift in spirit even if you are like me and not a big floral fragrance fan. Reminiscent of spring, with some crisp green notes as well! I used in cold process recipe that was a new formulation experiment. Please read other reviews as my CP soap did rice. This review is strictly for fragrance, which is dead on lilac dupe. I will purchase again using in tried and tested formulation because I am not at all sure ricing was from this FO. A heads up to add a little at a time and be ready to move fast, just incase. Otherwise, please give it try!

COMMENTS: This is almost musky smelling to me by itself, and I had a hard time finding a use for it...but I mixed it with cedar sage FO and it brought out a really nice note in it. Its a smooth warm scent, that's fairly soft but noticeable. I wasn't crazy about it to start with and for me it doesn't take much at all. But this mix was really pleasing and has been well received by customers.

"Great Lilac Scent !!!"

COMMENTS: The FO smells great, just like fresh Lilacs. At 1 oz/lb of oils in CP the scent has staying power. As others have said I did have significant acceleration but I won't stop using it. My batches are 10 lbs and I colored the whole batch with TD and added 2 colors of lavender shreds and barely got it in the mold. Will definitely use in soap again, and also in liquid soap, foamers, b. bombs, solid perfume and lotion bars. Just plan a simple 1-2 color design for soap and do a ITP swirl or hanger swirl. I plan on using a more liquid oil recipe next time for more fluidity and/or increase water/oil ratio.

"Smells like fresh lilacs"

COMMENTS: Wow,this smells exactly like the real thing. Made a beautiful 8 bar loaf of this using MP soap and gave a bar to my sister and then she asked me how much per bar I would sell them to her for she bought them all! She has never bought my soap because I give it to family for free so when she bought the whole lot just cause of how amazing the scent was I was very pleased. Love this scent and will definitely be reordering.

"Good Out of the Bottle"

COMMENTS: Oh, boy does this ever smell good! The scent is spot on! The scent transfers to soap well and was very well liked, however, after about 6 months after making, I started to detect a chemical scent with the lilac. If you choose this fragrance, make small batches. I made it HP because of the high flash point, so will try CP next. Maybe it will do better there.

"Perfect & right on scented fragrance"

COMMENTS: This one here is true & really does smell much like the real true blooming Lilacs which my parents have in their yard & that bloom every Spring & Summer so I know & recognize the scent quite well. The fragrance also too reminds me of the fragrance that Dial Gold & Dial White Soap has in it which I enjoyed growing up & still do as for Dial Gold Soap was what my grandfather always used as I was growing up around him. Therefore, this fragrance oil smells like both true Blooming Lilacs & Dial Gold Soap fragrance which I like both of them. I will be back for more of this fragrance oil from WSP.

"Smells just like the flower"

COMMENTS: I used this fragrance in cold process soap, and I have to say, I love this smell. I have lilacs growing in my back yard and think this fragrance is extremely close to the actual plant. I did not have any problems with this fragrance accelerating, I had plenty of time to work with the soap and make lovely purple swirls. I will be buying this one again!

"Amazing lilac"

COMMENTS: So the good: Smell The bad: Accelration!!! The ugly: My first soap attempt! Be ready with this one, it's sneaky! It behaves well just long enough for you to tell yourself, "I got this." Then wham! I know it sounds counter intuitive, but keep stirring while you are designing and it will give you a bit more time. I have a customer that raves about this smell, she says it's the best lilac she has ever smelled. I dig it too. I have learned to work around it.

"Yummy Lilac"

COMMENTS: This is the BEST lilac fragrance I have ever used (and there have been many). I soaped it the same day I received it and am just blown away by the realistic scent. It does accelerate in CP Soap but you should be fine if you blend your colors first and then stir in the fragrance. No discoloration. Made a 4 lb. batch & used 4 oz. of fragrance and oh my goodness was it good!!!

"It Can Accelerate Trace!"

COMMENTS: If it didn't accelerate trace, I would give it 10 stars. Great fragrance.. just like standing next to a lilac bush. Next time I will skip the immersion blender and just stir by hand. It set up almost immediately after adding the fragrance. I glopped it into a mold, and I'll use it for myself, but it's certainly not anything I would give to anyone. I don't think it will affect the end product other than aesthetics.

"True To Life Scent"

COMMENTS: This is a lovely scent! I grew up with a hedge of lilac bushes around my yard, and still love the smell of the flowers. Always reminds me of spring. COMMENTS: I can't say enough about this fragrance! I was apprehensive at first due to behavior in soap but this has no only met but exceeded all expectation in this area. "Lovely scent"

COMMENTS: What a lovely scent. Doesn't smell fake or weird, just a nice fresh lilac floral. Trace was fast as with most florals but I had color/fo already mixed in with the oils so I was ready to go. Sets up fast in the loaf then was able to create peaks and tops to the soap and sprinkle seeds on top. I think this will be a good seller for me.

COMMENTS: This is by far the best synthetic lilac fragrance I've ever smelled. Smells almost exactly like fresh lilacs, and my customers love it. COMMENTS: I went ahead and ordered this fragrance despite the occasional review the scent was a bit "off". I'm glad I did. Love the true scent of Lilac. It did accelerate in CP even at low temp. Had to hurry to get into the mold because I layer color. The top wound up looking pretty rough but actually added to the handmade look of the soap even though it's not my usual style. Used .8 oz PPO and seemed a bit strong at first. Clients love it. Experience in the shower is heavenly and the scent doesn't cling on the skin as strongly afterwards (good thing!) great sticking power in CP. Excellent performance in body scrubs.

"Smells just like the flower"

COMMENTS: This fragrance is dead on! It smells just like the flower! Absolutely lovely if you like lilac. This was a fast mover for me. I soap at RT and I discount my water, so this may be one of the reasons it took off like that. I had to change the design I planned in the last minute because of the accelerated trace, and I barely got done piping the cupcake soap tops before it got too hard to squeeze out of the piping bag. My cupcakes look so pretty now, smelling like spring on the curing rack. I am so happy I got this fragrance for my spring line!

COMMENTS: I mixed this at very cool temps and had no issues with acceleration. I wanted to color this soap a nice solid lavender shade. The FO did discolor just a bit so the end result was not quite what I'd have preferred, but I think I can counter that next time with a little more colorant. I used about 1oz PPO and could possibly have used just a bit more. It's a lovely fragrance and one I want to keep around!

"Like a day in the garden in May"

COMMENTS: I had a woman come to my booth a couple of years ago. She smelled the Lilac candle and said "I go around to craft shows everywhere smelling everyone's lilac. It is a hard fragrance to get right. Yours is spot on. It is by far the best, most realistic lilac I've ever smelled." Thank you WSP! I brought in lilacs from outside our house and you truly could not tell the difference between the flowers and the candle. This is as true a lilac as you will ever find. I carry over a dozen florals and this is, by far, my top selling one. It sells out even in the winter. The fragrance oil is VERY strong - a little goes a long way but it works great in both m&p soap and candles (soy and paraffin). The only drawback is that when used in the same strength as other fragrances, the Lilac's in Bloom often does not create a smooth top on the soy candles. It is as if it is too much oil for the wax to absorb. Cutting back severely on the amount of fragrance helps the look but also diminishes the candle fragrance. Otherwise, it is perfection!

COMMENTS: I did a lot of research before buying a lilac because I wanted a really good one. I must tell you, this one is absolutely perfect. "Lilac in Bloom Fragrance Oil"

"Love this Scent"

COMMENTS: I'm not big into florals, so I was really hesitant to order this fragrance. But I felt like my shop could use another floral so I'd try it. "Easily became a favorite"

COMMENTS: I used 2 tbsp to 1-lb oil soap (cold process) recipe and it was just right. Tended to fade initially but re-surfaced after curing. It has quickly become my husband's favorite, and another friend whom I sent samples to quickly pre-ordered several for Christmas, and ordered some more for his daughter and himself for as soon as I can produce them. He said it was a real winner! I am purchasing a bigger bottle next time. I am now afraid to run out of this scent!

COMMENTS: We had been using another company's Lilac for several years when we decided to try WSP's Lilac in Bloom. Since the switch a couple of years ago we now receive so many customer comments regarding how close it is to the real thing! We use it in our CP soap, aroma mist, lotion and soy candles. It rocks! It did accelerate trace slightly in CP. The scent lasts and doesn't seem to fade at all. I will never switch to another Lilac FO again!

"Beautiful but Difficult"

COMMENTS: Beautiful yet difficult. I make cold processed soap and used this fragrance twice at cool temps, but it seized both times. If making in cold processed, I would suggest reducing any water discount (increase your water/liquid content) and avoid any added sugars (goat milk, honey, etc.). I hope to master this fragrance in my goat milk bars, as I truly love it. But the seizing is important to know in advance so you can make any adjustments prior and have more success. If I used it in a less chemically reactive product, I would easily give all the stars.

COMMENTS: I was so in love with this fragrance out of the bottle, absolutely perfect representation of lilacs. "Not good for wax and honey soap"

COMMENTS: I made a simple cold process soap with wax and honey. I used this fragrance oil because it had such a great rating but my soap thickened very fast, heated up fast and very hot, then got rock hard after cooling. Too bad. But I love the smell, it is very good and authentic.
