Plumeria FO 459

"What little scent there is, is definitely NOT plumeria. Don't waste your money on this."

Smells like soap, not sea glass

"I had high hopes for this fragrance based on the reviews but after I smelled it in the bottle I wasn't a fan. I tried it in a scrub and it wasn't any better. I can't get passed the scent. Literally smells like old soap to me. Nothing really fresh or aquatic."

Smells Awesome!

"I just got this yesterday and am very excited about it! It smells just like the B&BW plumeria! I love it!"

Melissa (5/5)

Smells like Hawaii!!

"I lived in Hawaii for two years, with plumeria trees in my back yard. This scent is the real deal Hawaiian plumeria! Love it!! Accelerated a bit in CP, but is well worth it!! This my favorite scent!!!!"

Lucille (5/5)

Smells Wonderful

"I love this one, very strong. A little goes a long way. I've lived in Hawaii where the plumeria flower is king and this fragrance oil is a good replica for it. Not exact but we all know they wont be exact, so with that in mind, if you love the scent of floral plumeria, this one is a great option for you. It is a customer favorite especially if they've vacationed in the islands because it keeps them in the vacationing mood all year round!"

Plumeria Fragrance Oil

"I found this formulation somewhat weak and underwhelming in my MP soap."

Great favorite

"I combined Plumeria with Grapefruit EO to give it a little different twist. Love it. I recommend it."

Jenean (5/5)

Love it!

"Yes it seizes the soap! The fragrance is wonderful, and always a hit. You have to work quickly with this. I can fill a few specialty forms and then the rest goes in the loaf form. No it doesn't pour easily, think of thick pudding. . but stir it a little bit as it goes in the form, tap it on the table, 'smooth' out the top the best you can and call it good. When I cut the bars, I don't see any difference in the body of the bar. I don't use any colorings, and keep my bars 'plain jane' so the chunky top works well for me. This is my 3rd month selling at the FM, and I'm on my 3rd batch. . it'll be ready just in time for the end of the market! Haha! I'll have to plan better next year!!"

Q&A

Can I use this in a reed diffuser?
Hello - you can find this information on the IFRA Sheet. Category 10A - 5.0% usage rate.
For those who used this FO in CP soap. I understand it accelerated the batches used in CP Soap, but I was wondering about the percent concentration you are using? One reviewer said she keeps her oils and lye water cool, but what % of F.O. were you using as well? Thank You
Making sure both your oils and lye solution are at about 100 degrees reduces the risk of acceleration. Also making sure you have enough liquid to lye ratio is important as well. Depending on the strength of the fragrance, I add between 3.5%-5%. Assuming it is safe to do so with the guidelines in place.

Hi - I suspect the underlying issue with acceleration has to do with the type of FO. I'm my experience, and others' that I've spoken with, most floral FOs have a tendency to accelerate trace - some quicker than others, which is why some people recommend soaping the floral FOs at lower temps. I do this (1 oz. FO / per pound of oils)and slowly stir in the FO rather than using a stick blender.
