| COMMENTS: I recently started making liquid soap, but that's not why I ordered this. I like to use an 80/20 sodium hydroxide/potassium hydroxide mix in cold process soap. I read somewhere that using a small percentage of potassium hydroxide in cold process helps to produce more lather, and I have noticed a difference! It can make a slightly softer soap, so I use a steep water discount and superfat at 3-4%. I also use more shea butter and add either soft and silky e-wax or btms 25, and let the bars cure for several months. The bars are amazing, and work great for solid shampoo and beard wash!

| COMMENTS: KOH is great for shaving soap. I have used it for many batches without any issues. Just a warning: be prepared for soft (or even liquid) soap, and be careful about what container you mix it in. Over time, it caused my cheap plastic cup to break.

| COMMENTS: I like the flake form of lye (either kind) because of the low chance of static electricity causing it to cling to everything and bounce off of surfaces. If you work with lye, you understand how that can be very, very dangerous... This has been easy to pour, measure and weigh out and has performed beautifully in my hot process liquid Castile soap and also my shave soap recipe.

| COMMENTS: Bought potassium hydroxide to learn to make liquid soap from scratch. I cannot tell you the fun I had making the soap. It is a hot processed soap that is used in the recipe very similar to how sodium hydroxide is used. The same safety precautions and safety tools are a necessity, but the finished product is so worth the purchase. | COMMENTS: I looked all over the internet for a reasonably priced potassium hydroxide. after hundreds of hours I came across wholesale supplies plus. The cost of shipping the potassium hydroxide did not outweigh the benefit of getting it through them my shipping cost did not increase. It came packaged as the picture says also it came packaged in a clear ziplock bag. and also came clearly marked with all the warnings and everything as seen in the photo. currently it shows out of stock but I would definitely wait for the two pound potassium hydroxide if you need smaller quantities. if you are having second thoughts about purchasing this item through wholesale supplies plus please do not think twice about it this will be my go to place for potassium hydroxide in the future.
