Not for use in cold process soap

"I have a nice smelling batch of dark tan soap that looks like asphalt gone bad. If you intend to use this fragrance in cold process soap be prepared with a non-accelerating recipe. It speeds trace dramatically and increases the temperature of your soap quite a bit too. Good Luck!"

Loved the scent, didn't last in CP

"This scent is warm and sensual. Like others have said in reviews I'm sure it would be A+ in other applications, body butter, etc. But by 4 weeks cure it was hardly there. And now at about 8 weeks it smells like an unscented soap."

New Favorite!!!

"I purchased this on somewhat of a whim. . . I was in search of a fragrance to replace a FO used for my goat milk and honey soap that was discontinued by another supplier. I had tried SOO MANY scents in an effort to find one that was close in scent to the one that was no longer available. And let me tell you!!! When I smelled it this OOB I was HOOKED!!! I use it in a body butter first and it was a instant favorite with customers. Even though it's vastly different in scent notes than what I was looking for. It's perfect because it had everything else. . cozy, soothing, a bit sweet, warm, earthy and sultry. I will be using it in soap next! This Is now my ""new favorite"""

"This scent is absolutely luxurious! It smells feminine and slightly sweet. It is really great."

Vanessa (5/5)

Great unisex scent!!

"Has more of a masculine appeal but women love it just the same. This tonka bean noir has a warm, sensual smell. Perfect for his and hers massage oils."

Kesha (5/5)

Unusual Fragrance.

"We used this scent in soy tarts, although the scent is strong, it's not overpowering. Kind of a mysterious wispy sweetness. Loved it."

Excellent Product

"Great scent"

Alysa (5/5)

My secret weapon

"I swear, sometimes I just walk by the bottle and have the overwhelming urge to open it and smell it. It's that good. For some reason, the fragrance formulator version of tonka bean smells nothing like tonka bean, so I use this FO as my main tonka bean note. I use it in almost half of my custom fragrances and EVERYONE loves it."

Can't Get Enough

"I had a beloved pet named Tonka. . . so this is a sentimental favorite for me, and I LOVE the smell. Highly recommend - a great scent for men."

Nancy (5/5)

Very, very sensual!

"We got this scent to dupe a candle we acquired. It was almost spot on. Lovely, soft, we mixed with a touch of chocolate and amber and came out beautifully in CP and HP. The body butters have sold great as well."

Q&A

Is this scent similar to Bath and Body Works' Black Tie?
We do not believe this is similar to BBW Black Tie. They don't seem to have the same notes in them.
Can tinka Bean Noir be used in candles or does it need to be add to a carrier oil? I made candles but they sweat terrible. I used 1oz per pound and smell great but I don't like having to Dr. On them to sell them. If it needs a carrier oil, what oil and what would be the percentage of each? TIA
This fragrance can be used in candles. This should not be mixed with a carrier oil when adding to candle wax. You need to use the amount of fragrance that your wax manufacturer recommends for your particular wax. If you are using 1 oz. per pound, this would be 6%, which should be within range. If the fragrance is seeping out, you may need to use less fragrance, or your wax is just not accepting this particular fragrance.
Is this tonka as in an actual tonka bean scent? Or is it just a tonka related scent. I'm trying to find a straight up tonka scent.
It is more of a Tonka-like scent rather than a strictly tonka bean scent. This fragrance is a blend of bergamot, lily of the valley, amber, patchouli and musk.
