Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron.
- To large microwave-safe measuring cup add 21.50 oz. cut up soap.
- Add 0.10 oz. green color block. Heat in microwave until completely melted.
- Add 0.50 oz. fragrance oil to melted soap.
- Place loaf mold on scale and tare to zero. Fill with 20 oz. of green soap and spritz with rubbing alcohol. Pour the remaining soap into a rectangle clamshell and let harden.
- To small measuring cup, add 2.5 oz.of soap and 0.05 oz. red color block. Heat in microwave until melted. Pour into the remaining clamshell. Spritz with rubbing alcohol and let harden.
- To measuring cup, add 20 oz. of soap. Heat in microwave until melted.
- Add 0.50 oz. fragrance to melted soap and stir.
- When the soap’s temperature is 125°F, spritz the green soap generously with rubbing alcohol and pour the melted soap on top. Spritz soap with rubbing alcohol. Let soap completely harden.
- Unmold soap from both clamshells. Using a vegetable peeler create soap curls from both bars until most of the soap has been used. Any leftover soap or curls can be placed in an airtight container and saved for a future project.
- Pinch one end of each of the green soap curls so that they all look like leaves.
- Melt 4 oz. of soap. Spritz the top of the soap in the mold with rubbing alcohol. Pour soap over the top.
- Spritz the soap curls well with alcohol and push the soap curls into the top of the soap.
- Sprinkle gold mica on the top.
- Let soap completely harden.
- Carefully remove soap from loaf. Slice into bars.
- Wrap and label accordingly.
To Use: Lather onto wet skin and rinse off.
