Beautiful

"I used this to color wax for wax melts. I mixed about an 1/8 teaspoon of this with a teaspoon of White Champagne mica and it made the prettiest lavender."

Not purple turns grey

"I really wanted to love this color, but I only got a muted grey color. I've tried it in several products (Cold process soaps, Shampoo Bars, Sugar scrubs) and never received a purple hue. I had to mix it with Galaxy purple to correct the color, which defeats the purpose. I will not purchase again."

Sarah (2/5)

deep vibrant purple!

"totally in love with this purple. Bought this for M&p soap and ended up using it so far in a clear nail polish base. its so smooth and not at all grainy. the purple is so rich and lively! I seriously can't wait to try this in soap. came in a clean jar that was taped closed. perfect and no spillage during shipping"

Grey

"Turned my body butter grey looked like cement. I was so sad"

Gorgeous purple in cp soap!

"This is a beautiful purple in cold process soap, does not morph stays a true purple! I love micas, they are easy to work with and WSP has excellent prices on them, will be buying a bigger size soon!"

Mary (5/5)

Smooth blending, true color

"Beautiful! I love this color and how it just swirls delicately. Great for all soap applications"

Heirloom Eggplant's Twin

"Fun purple compared to the dark side of ""Heirloom Eggplant Mica"". Love how it performs in CP, found no morphing. The sample bag was the perfect amount to try out in CP when paired with Lapis & Emerald Green for an Energy soap. Customers really like this color."

Q&A

Can I use this to make shower gel? If so, do I have to put poly80?
A mica will separate from the Shower Gel, Polysorbate 80 will help.
Are your mica powders synthetic (lab created) or natural (mined)? I can see the ingredients list but want to know the creation process.
The micas are man made.
I am new to using colors in soap and have no idea how much to use. I am making CP soap and need a starting point of what is recommended.
We recommend starting with 1 tbsp per pound of oils and butters.
Are your mica powders safe to color aroma beads?
From your question, we are uncertain how the beads will be used. If they will be used as room freshener they should work fine.
Can Purple Kaolin Clay be used as a substitute for purple mica in making exfoliating scrubs? what would be the difference between them?
Yes you can use purple kaolin instead of a color in scrubs. The amount/consistency may vary - this is something you will have to experiment with.
