Directions

Use unscented (as-is) or add your own Fragrance or Essential Oils at a ratio up to 1%. No solubilizer is necessary. Customize by adding 1% of nourishing oils like Grapeseed, Avocado, Argan or botanical extracts. During cooler weather, this base can be very thick and 10 - 20% water can be added to reduce viscosity. Keep in mind that if you alter the base, it may thin and become more runny during warmer weather. It is important to preserve the water first, then add it to the shampoo. Although water-based colorants will work in this base, we do not recommend adding them as it could result in change of hair color.

For external cosmetic use only. Not for ingestion. Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children. Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.

Not Sweetened

"Bottle is basically unsweetened. For what would have been sweetened with 1/4th tsp of stevia takes over 2 tbsp of this product and doesn't get close to the same level of sweetness. Because of the amount we had to use to get our balms sweetened enough our lip balms were too soft and cannot be sold. Purchased 4oz bottle, awaiting response from customer service. Initial email sent on the 26th of November. It is currently Dec 11th."

Wonderful sulfate free base

"I am allergic to sulfates, and this is a fantastic sulfate free soap base. I use it as a body wash, with added fragrance oils. It's difficult to find a sulfate free body wash base, and I'm glad that Elements offers it. This is very sudsy and I use it on a buff puff. It can also be used for a shampoo and face wash. I highly recommend it."

"This is the best shampoo base I have tried and I've tried A LOT! It leaves your hair feeling clean but not stripped or heavy. My hair retains the color as it should. It holds scent nicely too. For all the money I've wasted on other shampoo bases I'd give this one 50 stars if I could!"

What percentage of additive and fragrance can I add? Thank you!: This has a 2% load. 1% Fragrance/essential oils and 1% additives
Is this phthalate free?: Phthalates are often found in fragrance oils as a fixative. This product is phthalate free.
Where in the ingredients do I put fragrance if I used it at 3% and added a 2:1 vanilla stabilizer? Thank you.: Fragrance oil and vanilla color stabilizer will go at the end of the ingredient list.
