"This is a nice soap, but mine was not this color and no real scent. It was a very pale color, that wasn't usable on its own. It was fine adding just about any color, there wasn't much yellow to contend with it. I just used it as a fairly transparent option."

"I was on the fence with using a glycerin soap base however, my soap turned out beautiful. This soap is a lightly scented and being new to making soap, I did not want to overpower my soaps with heavy fragrances and EO. I added a small amount of Orange EO to enhance the orange smell. Used this MP soap base for my Mechanics Soap. I wanted some natural color - added turmeric powder, this turned the soap a beautiful orange. This also adds some healing properties to overworked hands. Will be using this soap base more. Thanks WSP!"

"This product was so easy to use. It is already lightly scented with citrus which is great and I loved the fresh scent-just enough and not overwhelming. It's clarity is perfect to use with embeds. I'll definitely buy more because I'm so pleased with everything about it."
Lots of sweating/glycerine dew. . .
"I was really excited to try this base as it would allow my customers to get the actual bar in their hand to look at, feel, and smell instead of it needing to be in plastic wrap. Unfortunately, after 2 days tremendous amounts of glycerine dew took hold, and after 10 days is still there. I tried to wipe it off, but the slime just came right back. The soap is in a cool, dry area with good air circulation so am really sad that this has happened. Will just wrap immediately after making my next bars and hope that will help. On the up-side, it melted down very nicely, has a nice faint citrus smell and faint orange color which should take any citrus soap you make up a notch. Just too bad about the dew/sweating."

"This soap has a great lather, and just a hint of citrus to it. The color is gorgeous. Tried to add some orange and lemon shavings to it but they did sink to the bottom, I wonder if I poured them in too early or maybe this isn't the best for suspending additives? I will try again though, I think this one is def worth it."
Disappointing
"This soap base has a mild citrus scent in the container and i thought it would make some nice soaps but find the end result disappointing. Very little lather and I did not enjoy using the soap made with it. I gave bars to several family members and am waiting for their verdict, but I already know that I will not purchase any more of this base. Most of the products I get from Wholesale Supply are outstanding- no need to try to use one that isn't."

- I'm sorry but I can't quite tell from the photos....Is this soap clear or opaque? Is it really a bright yellow or more muted?Thanks!
- This base is clear but is a bit hazy. It's a little translucent. It is a yellow color, but is slightly more muted than the picture.
- If this DF American Citrus MP soap is used too make sugar scrubs, do they need too be wrapped?Would it be okay too place them in a container instead?Thanks
- Yes, if you are making sugar scrub cubes, they would either need to be packaged or placed in an airtight container.
- Is this soap base have any oil/butter that is good for dry skin to moisturizing? If not, can I add shea butter (or what oil/butter you recommend?) in mp soap method, and when/how to add it?? Thank you
- This soap base contains coconut oil and glycerin which is good for dry skin. We do not recommend adding additional oils and butters because it cuts down on the amount of lather the soap creates.
- Can you add water soluble additives to this (water soluble vitamin c and Kojic acid? If so, when and how to you do it? Thanks.
- Water-soluble ingredients can be added to MP soap up to 6% total ingredients, including fragrance. This can be blended into the melted soap base.
- Are these "scored" or separated in some way in order to cut 8 bars?
- Yes, they are scored into four 8 ounce sections.
