Hemp but I smell more Patchouli

"I really like this fragrance and my patchouli fan customers love it too. I think Patchouli is the dominate note in the oil. I use it in hp because of the prev. reviews about acceleration. It did not discolor and scent sticks very well. I will purchase again"

Run away , don't walk!

"This fragrance oil not only accelerated at the speed of light ' soap on a stick ' in my main batch, but it riced as well ' horribly' in my accent color batch. I would not recommend this fragrance for cold process soap."

Tricky little bugger.

"I rated this as excellent with a catch. I've not tried other ""hemp"" scents so I have no comparison to make, I loved the scent so thumbs up there. That being said, it was a bit tricky to work with. Hoping other soapers will be patient enough to read this review entirely so that they may have some success with it, as so many of the reviews are negative. I poured the lye into my oils at the 126-129ish degree range(I usually mix at a bit cooler than that but with the previous scent Oud and Incense, it thickened up very quickly, thinking it was the temp of the fragrance oil when added I decided to mix a bit hotter this time) Mine also started to seize. Literally instantly, but I didn't give up and put my blender down to mix with a spoon. I make both hot and cold process soap so I'm familiar with the phases batter will go through. Out of sheer shock and natural curiosity I kept mixing (really not even trying to save the batch but just studying what happened basically so I could not repeat it) and realized it started very quickly going from seized. . . to separating. . . to ricing. . . to the beginning of clear mashed potato gel phase. The batter had shot from 120-ish degree range to 170(I checked the temp when I realized it looked like a gel phase) as soon as I saw that, I just started gently folding the batter until it was an even consistency for spooning into the mold (first checking the ph of course which actually ended up being a bit lower on the scale that what I normally end up with). So with this scent yes it does seize, but in the end of my project I was pretty excited because I got hot process soap without having to cook it. Maybe I just got lucky and will never be able to repeat this recipe, not sure. Seizing is kind of the soapers lament so it would be great to have this scent and not have it seize."

Hippy Scent

"I am not a huge fan of the scent, but my boyfriend loves it. Scent works well in MP and is quite fragrant. Smells very green and musky. I made a batch of MP with the hemp oil base and tried out the soap myself, I could smell it on me all day."

Q&A

Anyone had any luck with a soap recipe that this fragrance doesn't seize up before you can even get it into a mold? Have tried 3 different recipes all with awful results. It's a shame I love the scent but can't use it.: We experienced slight acceleration and separation with this fragrance. We also experienced severe ricing with our CP testing. Our recipe consisted of: 50% olive oil, 20% sunflower oil, 15% coconut 76, 10% shea butter, 5% castor. No water discount.
