Disappointed

"The brand is crafters choice. The mix is so adulterated that it smells like 100% maple syrup."

a little strange on its own, but still awesome!

"A lot of people review fragrance oils based on how well they perform in different applications (CP soap vs bath fizzes vs lotions, etc), so I will review the scent itself. :)In the bottle this fragrance is very strange; it has a slight smokey quality, but it is mostly a very strong, kind of disconcerting sour smell - which I think smells exactly like pickled banana peppers in a jar. As it dries, the sour qualities do fade substantially though. When mostly dry, the 'smouldering wood' note is definitely there, and and the sour notes are there ~just~ enough to be reminiscent of spicy peppers. Overall it is a very cool scent; a little earthy, slightly sweet and smokey, with a note of what really does smell like jalapenos roasted over a wood fire. It's very cool!Being that this is a formulator scent, I doubt it would work on it's own; the item description does say it's a middle note, but it feels more like a top note to me. I did mix this with another middle note and a base note, to end up with a really great custom scent."

Part of kit ingredients

"This was part of a fragrance formulator kit - product worked well - would buy for future products. Can hardly wait for fall/winter fragrances"
