Our new natural scrub base is a versatile medium for anhydrous scrub formulations. This is a specially designed cocktail of lipid ingredients to provide lubricious feel and skin conditioning, and reinforce the lipid layers on skin, perfect for aging or very dry skin. Our natural scrub base offers a great way to formulate a quick scrub by adding your favorite scent oils and/or scrubbing agent (this could be our jojoba beads, coffee, a course salt, etc.). This base is ready to go, no need for any additional oils, butters, or thickeners.

Directions

Whip base with a whisk or hand mixer until uniform. Add fragrance and other additives like exfoliants. Continue to mix until completely uniform.

Warning

For external cosmetic use only. Not for ingestion. Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children. Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.

Love this base BUT . . . . . .

"I purchased this base a few times and I love the texture. It is very easy to work with and make your own. BUT the natural smell of the base is very strong from the butters. For this reason, only I am not giving it 5 stars. If the scent was not so strong I would be giving this a 5+. The scent of the base can be covered for the most part with fragrance / essential oils. I will purchase this base still I wish they can make this more ""unscented"" ."

Prefer from scratch

"It was easy to combine fragrance and exfoliates. But the natural scent of the base barely was covered by the fragrance. For that reason, I would not purchase again. I will continue doing from scratch. I'll just use the 2lbs I purchased for myself as I wouldn't give away or sell."

Q&A

Does this scrub need to be heated to add fragrance or sugars to it?: This scrub is formulated to be a "cold-mix" base and can be mixed at room temperature.
I would like to try to add some natural colors to this scrub. Would clays or powders, such as blue spirulina, matcha, or beet root, work as colorants?: Natural powders can be added to this base. Testing would have to be done to determine the color outcome.
