Our Premium Three Butter Plus Melt and Pour Soap Base is opaque and white in color. It contains shea butter, cocoa butter, and mango butter…all of which are thought to benefit dry skin. Produces luxurious, big-bubble lather. Packaged in a foil‑lined, corrugated box to maintain freshness and performance. Makes (40) 4 oz soap bars.

Details

Cut soap base into small pieces, and melt in the microwave at 30-second intervals (or use a double boiler), stirring until fully liquefied. Once melted, add cosmetic color, fragrance, and other skin-safe additives—this base can hold up to 5% total additives—then pour the mixture into a Crafter’s Choice mold and spritz the surface with rubbing alcohol to reduce bubbles. Allow the soap to cool completely before unmolding, then wrap it in airtight plastic wrap to preserve freshness. Melted soap is hot and should be used with caution; recommended for ages 15 and older.

Soap is Great but

"So the soap is great, I do love using it for fun and cute soaps! But the way they ship 10 pound blocks is honestly dumb. They ship it uncovered in a box. When I got mine it was covered in dirt (not just lint from the box) actual dirt from being tossed around in the FedEx box. When I contacted customer service, they said to wipe the top off with so alcohol and it’s fine. I understand it’s soap and I can clean it off, but seriously? Is wrapping it in plastic out of the question? Again the soap is lovely but shipping is very much lacking."

Great quality soap base

"Upon arrival this soap base was in a bag, but I watched WSP video on how to remove it and I have no complaints. It takes FO very well and smells clean and sweet alone. It is very gentle on the skin, however I'm curious to know how the SLS free version compares. The lather quality?! Amazing, big luxurious yet creamy lather. It is a bit softer then other soap bases I have tried, but I'm chalking that up to the 3 butters. I made a Tequila Sunrise inspired loaf that customers are loving. I did a test and added 3% stearic acid & 3% LAL powder out of sheer curiosity. I do feel as though the Stearic acid made for a harder soap bar. I'm highly considering this to be the base for majority of my recipes and will continue to order the 10lb block until I'm in need of the 24lbs."

Hi! I tried this base and I absolutely love it, however I'm trying to figure out how to work with it since it dries super quick! I add color and by the time I'm done mixing it the base dries! Can you help, can you tell me how to work with it before it dries or how to prevent it from drying too quickly!: Heat the base in 30 second bursts in the microwave until melted. try not to heat over 160 degrees. Add fragrance and color and pour at about 145 degrees.
Is this gluten free?: Yes, it is gluten free.
I thought this was described as low-sweat when I purchased it, so thank you for the correction. However, I did make some soap with this base and there was absolutely no lather at all. I used 3% fragrance. Is there a reason it would make no lather? Thanks.: Did you add anything other than fragrance? Our Premium Soap Bases lather very well. This is supposed to be 'low sweat' soap, but can it be set up in a display outside in only a paper or cardboard sleeve and not get wet or 'dewy'? Will it shrink if not stored in an airtight container for too long? Thanks.: This soap is not considered low sweat. Our detergent free soaps are more low sweat. We would recommend definitely wrapping these soaps so they are airtight, especially if you are doing an outdoor show.
