"yummy but fast" | ||||||
COMMENTS: I absolutely love the scent of this one! OOB it's definitely pumpkin chai. A couple hours into saponification, it's very warm and the caramel/vanilla notes are more prevalent. So delicious!! It did go a little fast, like pudding but manageable. Don't know about discoloration yet. The FO is amber, so I'm sure there will be some. I used an orange mica to help it go a pumpkin shade. Can't wait to see how it turns out! evoo, coconut, shea butter, castor, 6% sf, 2:1 water:lye, 75-78*F

"Like Inhaling A Cup Of Pumpkin Vanilla Chai"
COMMENTS: Unlike most of you here, I purchase FO & EO to create my own ISA-based fragrance oils for catalytic burner lamps and to use in cold vapor diffusers. I imagine the diffusion of the FO in the air makes the scent smell slightly different than when used in soaps or other mediums. I love the Maison Berger fragrance called “Pumpkin Delight” and have been looking for a good dupe. This Pumpkin Vanilla Chai is very close (just a bit more “spice” to it than MB “Pumpkin Delight”) and I quickly found myself halfway through a 4oz bottle after just a week’s rotation in my new 35+ WSP FO collection and 25+ varieties of MBerger scents. I definitely keep coming back to this one. This scent smells exactly like a Pumpkin-flavored Chai with a splash of vanilla. The pumpkin is nicely prominent and the chai spice is very strong to the point that it gives off a perception of cinnamon. I purchased several pumpkin FO blends in this order (trying to find a good dupe) and unfortunately they all are very cinnamon heavy when diffused/atomized. The cinnamon tends to overpower the other notes and it loses its subtle complexity. This scent thankfully did not do that. The photo used for the listing is perfect because that is exactly what I imagine is under my nose if I close my eyes while smelling this FO. While I love this scent and will be buying (a lot) more, I’m still looking for a dupe for Maison Berger’s “Pumpkin Delight, which is more of a apple ginger pumpkin than a spicy chai (Head Notes: Mandarin, ginger, saffron; Heart Notes: Cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, apple; Base Notes Pumpkin, Vanilla, amber). If anyone has a suggestion of a FO/EO combination or blend or a good dupe I would be very grateful. In the meantime, I definitely give this Pumpkin Vanilla Chai ***** 5 Stars *****
