Details

Didn't Leak. Very tiny.

"This mold did everything as described. I had no trouble with it leaking and it sealed easily for me. I used melt and pour soap in it. I do think that the size of the mold makes it not worth my time using it, and it's too expensive to invest in getting more."

Huge disappointment

"I have been using column molds for years with my CP soap. I was so excited when I saw these. . . Then I used them. . They look okay in the end, but they leak like crazy, even with binder clips up both sides, they are only 8"" long, which means I have to make 3 for it to fit my 18"" mold, and they are almost impossible to get the soap out of without breaking. At $22 a mold (which is much more expensive than the 12"" column molds I normally use), I expected much better. Total waste of $45."

What is the length and width of the Finished Ribbon soap column?: Finished dimension is 8.125" x 0.75" x 1.5"
Approximately how much soap does this column hold? I am wondering because I purchased several of them and want to formulate a small recipe. Thanks much: This mold holds approximately 5.3 ounces. This information is listed under "Helpful Product Information" for this item.
I think the first question was how do you insert the tear drop into the ribbon. The daisy mold video shows a round middle but did not demonstrate how this was done. I'm assuming it's a two part process but how then do you insert the first embed and pour around it in the second mold? Again assuming, you'd have to hold it in place with your finger until the m&p was firm enough to release. Cute concept but pretty laborious.: To add the teardrop, you would need to purchase the Tear Drop Column Mold 2030. Once the teardrop is made, this would be inserted into the Ribbon Mold. Fill the Ribbon Column Mold about 1/4 full, then insert the teardrop. You will need to hold the teardrop in place until the soap starts to harden. Once hardened, spritz inside of mold with alcohol, then fill column about 1/2 full. Pouring in sections makes it easier to keep the teardrop from moving in the liquid soap.
