"I would like to blend FO & EO for a unique scent of my own. My question is: Is there a specific ratio of one oil to another ? I used the fragrance calculator to find how much FO to use in my batches, but I don't know how much to use of each FO or EO to blend for two for more FO. Example: Santas Pipe FO and Cedarwood EO. I am trying to find a smokey woods scent with a hint of sweetness. My batch would be using the 44 oz. 1501 loaf mold. I hope this isn't a silly question. "

"Ah-mazing scent"

COMMENTS: This smells ah-mazing! You can detect the warm tobacco and the cherry. It soaped very nicely, no acceleration/separation/ricing. It does discolor to a deep brown, so plan accordingly. It has stayed strong through three weeks of curing.

"Sweet tobacco scent"

COMMENTS: Smells like maraschino cherry and pipe tobacco AND it smells pretty similar to some of the fancy tobaccos my husband uses for his actual pipe. Overall, I really love this scent, out of the bottle it really smacks you in the face and is a really strong scent. It continued to be a strong scent through the cure and has toned down since cure but I'd still consider it a strong scent after cure. I will continue to buy this, I used it in cold process soap but I think it would be a great scent for wax melts or candles.

"Smells like Grandpa"

COMMENTS: I love this scent, and sell it year round. It reminds me of my grandpa. True to scent smells like cherry pipe tobacco. Preforms perfect in cold proccess soap. Does discolor to a nice brown, which seems to go with the scent. I keep this one in stock.

	"Marachino Cherries, Anyone?"
COMMENTS: Just received this and the moment I opened it all I could smell was Marachino cherries. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking them but I didn't want a FO that smelled like a Shirley Temple in a smoky bar. I am going to try it in a wax melt and probably a M&P bar since so many fragrances change in different mediums. I will be back if I find anything redeeming. *Notice - you may have to ask your parents about my reference :)

COMMENTS: This is easily my current favorite. It smells very black cherry to me. I sold out at Christmas. It was definitely popular with men, but women liked it too. I see that other soapers had problems with discoloration, but I didn't have any issues with this in two different batches, though I did use some TD in the base to offset it because of the vanilla content. As with other people, I am renaming this to use all year long.

"Love this one!"

COMMENTS: This is one I will keep year round & just rename. To me Santa’s Pipe has a rich & complex aroma. I smell dark juicy cherry, some wood, and the tabacco notes to me come across a bit leathery. Online it hasn’t moved much, but once a customer smells it they usually purchase it. I am so happy I took a chance on this one!

"Nice Scent, Guy Fave"

COMMENTS: I bought this scent last year for soap on a whim and made a simple red and black bar with it. Lo' and behold, men ask for this scent year-round. I hadn't expected guys to be the ones to really pick this one up but they LOVE it and always want more. It is one of my top three best sellers for men. I'm not a fan of it personally and think the cherry overthrows every other scent in CP after cure but...there is a strong demand, so I keep making it. Performs well at room temp and behaves. No issues.

COMMENTS: OOB this is not pleasant BUT... in HTHP soap is is wonderful. A little goes a long way. I used .5oz PPO and it really is too strong but not unpleasant but I would back it down to 1/3oz PPO next time. That being said, it reminds me of my grandpas Black Cherry pipe tobacco from when I was little so, for me, it is nostalgic and I will use it again perhaps mixed with some vanilla to make it a bit sweeter smelling.

COMMENTS: I love this fragrance oil. Reminiscent of my great grandfathers pipe. I am primarily picking up raspberry with undertones of cherry. This fragrance does discolor, which I expected and planned for. It has held up just wonderfully in my cold process soap and seems just as fragrant as the day it was cut. I had no issues with acceleration or ricing. One of my husbands favorites. I also used it in beard oil. nice.

"A Christmas Classic"

COMMENTS: If you are looking for a Christmas scent that isn't in the Pine/Evergreen family, this is it. It smells like old time Christmas. Very sweet but with a stout base scent. I've used several Christmas scents and this is by far my favorite. Works well in both men's and women's products.

It doesn't smell much like the description to me, I get maraschino cherries when I smell it. I really like it though. It did accelerate just a touch, but it was still extremely workable. COMMENTS: My uncle really liked the discontinued Santa's Pipe candle from Yankee Candle. This scent really hits the mark and smells just like it. It's very concentrated in the bottle but works well in small doses for candles. It has a very strong cherry tobacco like scent.

COMMENTS: OOB, the scent was very, very sweet. It smelled mostly of cherry, vanilla, and for some reason, almonds. However, once it is in soap, and more diluted, the tobaccos comes out. It reminds me of my father's cherry tobacco for his pipe (as it should.)

"Very Sweet!"

COMMENTS: We haven't gotten a chance to use this yet, as it's a bit too sweet for our taste. We have been waiting to find something to tone it down. If you're looking for a strong cherry vanilla scent this is for you, but if you looking for a more tobacco fragrance stick to a regular tobacco. I should have known it would be so sweet... Santa loves his sweets!

"Smells Soooooo Good"

COMMENTS: I was so curious as to what this scent would be like. I love rich tobacco scents so I was hopeful. Unfortunately, I was reaching for another oil on my shelf and this one fell, the bottle shattered and the ENTIRE thing emptied onto my floor. BUT I have to say if any oils were to drop leaving me to smell it for months after - this is the one to do it. I still smell it when I pass the area even though I thought I cleaned it all up (not an easy task to clean 4 ounces of oil off of a wooden floor!) and I'm not sick of the smell at all. I have to reorder for the fall/winter because I never even got to use it - but I can't wait, I know it'll be a popular one.

"This is a good one!"

COMMENTS: This is a great seasonal scent that's true to it's name. I used this in soy candles and it has a nice throw. To me it smells like a cherry tootsie pop with a hint of smoke. The cold throw gives off more of the smokiness than the hot throw, but the note is still there. My 8 year old daughter thinks it smells nasty but I would be worried if she loved it haha! I can't imagine Santa's pipe smelling any other way...pleasantly anyway!

COMMENTS: I agree with other reviewers that this smells like cherry. BUT, it is amazing! I had no acceleration or ricing. There is discoloration due to vanilla, but I used titanium dioxide for swirls and let the rest discolor. I also mixed in some campfire FO to get that smoky pipe scent. It worked perfectly. The campfire balanced the cherry. The scent lasts. It has been one and a half months and the scent is still going strong. I love this FO and will order again.

"Very Nice Aroma"

COMMENTS: I used this fragrance in cold process soap. It performed beautifully. There was no acceleration, ricing or discoloring. I was able to get some fantastic swirls. The smell could be overwhelming if used too heavily. However, I really like the sweet cherry tobacco scent. I used it at 4.5% and that seems to be perfect. I would definitely buys this one again.

"Smells great but don't get it on your fingers."

COMMENTS: I was not surprise about this F.O. I grew up in a smoking household and generally don't go for anything like that. The description sounded very good though and I was needing a somewhat masculine fragrance so I ordered it. It smelled wonderful, right through the box. The extra tape around the lid had leaked (probably not more than a couple of drops.) At first I thought it was actually kind of neat. I probably had the best smelling package in the post that day. BUT be careful, the scent was great and I have used it alone and in combination in at least 4 batches of soap. The soap kept its scent pretty well and I was very happy with it. My hands also kept the scent the night I got my order and I could not get it off. Take it in small doses because it did not go we'll with dinner that night and was beginning to give me a headache by bedtime.

COMMENTS: This is a fragrance that I find to be very appealing. Actually I love it! It smells like cherry's and almonds. I love the smell of a real pipe and I think that this will remind you of that sweet pipe smell that you catch a whiff of on a breezy day. As far as retailing goes, I have some people who love it and some who are turned off by it, but it does always sell out. It isn't my BEST seller, but it does sell. This year I made it in hot process soap at .6 ounces per pound and it is very fragrant. I could have toned it down a tiny bit, but it is in no way unpleasant.

"Wonderful pipe tobacco scent"

COMMENTS: If you love the smell of pipe tobacco, you'll love this scent. It smells like the smoky cherry tobacco my uncle used to smoke in his pipe, which I loved as a child. I originally smelled this scent in CP soap at a Christmas boutique where I was selling my glycerin soaps. I loved it so much I had to purchase a few bars, and then I contacted the soap artist to find out if she would share where she purchased the fragrance oil. I do have to say that this scent didn't mask the underlying lye scent of the CP soap. It does come through cleanly in my M&P soaps, and it is a winter favorite of my customers.

"Unique smell"

COMMENTS: I used this in CP soap which performed wonderfully. I didn't have any acceleration or seizing. I did use oxide and natural colorants so I didn't experience any discoloration. I didn't like the pipe tobacco smell when smelling the FO out of the bottle. It was much more then a hint of pipe tobacco ugh. Thankfully the tobacco smell disappeared after I added it to the soap. It has more of a nutty fruit smell now which is just fine with me.

COMMENTS: Not usually a fan of vanilla scented anything but this mix is wonderful. The cherry isn't cough syrupy smelling at all (which I find it can't be sometimes) and its a great manly scent. You could rename it something like "grandpas house" or something to use it more than Christmas season.

COMMENTS: OOB - all you can smell is the cherry. After using it in M&P soap (finish product) - you definitely can smell the smoke of a pipe come through. Love this and so does my husband! 	"Deceptive, but Delicious! "
COMMENTS: At first sniff, OOB, all I smelled was cherry-almond. I used this FO to make home fragrance oil (with DPG), which STILL smelled like cherry-almond. However, I dabbed a bit on my hand (bad idea, I know lol) and the dry-down was PHENOMENAL. Tobacco and all the other notes really come through once that initial blast of cherry-almond is gone, and this turns into a cozy, warm, very holiday-ish scent. Haven't used the tarts I made yet.

COMMENTS: This fragrance is a bit strong while making the soap and I am in agreement with another reviewer - try not to get it on your clothes, skin, or work surface because it lingers. If you have sinus headaches you may want to stay away from this one because it will cause one. Overall it disipates and turns out to be quite a wonderful cherry tobacco smell, just like pipe tobacco. A great smell for a man. Another great holiday addition.

COMMENTS: I know it lists my wifes name on the review but this is her husband giving the review. Smelling the bottle you would think this would give you a headache. Once we used only %3 in CP soap it smelled amazing. Every single guy we're related to grabbed them and immediately wanted them. I've been waiting all year to make this soap for the holidays. If you have ever smelled scented pipe tobacco from like a pipe shop, that sweet, smooth, cherry and vanilla aroma that is what this is. People think tobacco and think of the stinky guy with a cigar , that is NOT what this is. In the end this scent won my wife over as well.

"This is really like pipe tobacco"

COMMENTS: I use a very small amount of this scent combined with vanilla to simulate the smell of newly tanned leather. Many people don;t realize that tobacco was used extensively in tanning leather for many years, so that when you walked into a barn with saddles and bridles hanging about, you got a faint whiff of tobacco. I make saddle shaped soaps for my clients and scent them with this. I just wish someone would produce a real leather scent!

COMMENTS: This smells so good! I was a little hesitant to purchase the fo because I was not sure 'pipe smoke' would be appropriate for bath products. It's a wonderful cherry and wood scent with just a touch of vanilla to make it smooth and a hint of tabacco to make it mysterious. This is a great warm, winter, unisex scent.
