Not sure what others are smelling

"This doesn't smell like a single note scent at all or like sugar. It's a dupe of Pink Sugar or the Scentsy bar ""Sugar"" it's sweet, slightly floral, and a tad musky. I was super surprised when I opened it and went ""Woah, that's my favorite Scentsy bar!"" I love this scent as I love both of those products, but I can't say I would want to mix this with any other scents."

Not a true vanilla

"This is specifically a bakery vanilla smell. I had a spare bottle of the Crafter's Choice Vanilla Buttercream fragrance oil and there's no difference. So, this is a super-strong, super-sweet, vanilla buttercream scent. The fact that it is in the Fragrance Formulator line is disappointing. So far, I have found that even in 4 parts 1, this vanilla is way too sweet and cloying. So continues my search for a true vanilla bean fragrance."

"I like this fragrance oil, it smells like roses and is not strong at all. I think people need to remember that Fragrance Oils will never be a 100% match to a specific scent but rather we should be grateful to those who make the effort to ensure the scent resembles the name."

very strong vanilla

"A lot of people review fragrance oils based on how well they perform in different applications (CP soap vs bath fizzes vs lotions, etc), so I will review the scent itself. :)I am a person who actively dislikes most vanilla scents. I generally find them too artificial, and they tend to give me headaches. I do know other people like it though, so I got some of this to use in a custom scent. This is a very typical vanilla scent. In the bottle, it is a rich, warm, verrry syrupy sweet scent. As it dries, it does develop a very artificial quality. I actively dislike this scent on its own, myself. However, this oil is listed as a Fragrance Formulator base note, and I did mix it with some middle and top notes for my custom blend (2 parts fruit FO, 2 parts floral FO, and 1 part this one), which turned out amazing. So perhaps this fragrance just performs better when you mix a small amount of it with something else."

Will this ever be offered in smaller sizes again? I had bought it years ago and loved it, but I certainly have no use (or money) for such a large amount. Thanks!: As of now, the special order fragrances are currently only offered in the 25-lb size. We hope to be able to accommodate your request and carry additional sizes in the future.
I'm noticing the term "fragrance formulator" on some scents and haven't seen the before. What does it mean? thanks: We have had our Fragrance Formulator line for almost two years. They were designed as single note fragrances that can be blended together to create a new and unique fragrance oil. They can be used along or blended with our Fragrance Formulator scents. They are not meant to be blended with regular Crafter's Choice fragrances. I used this by itself in CP w/ vanilla stabilizer. After several weeks it turned brown, although not evenly. It looked more like distressed wood or the rings of a tree, with uneven dark areas in a circular pattern. From the description photo it looks like the same happened to WSP's batch. Does this still happen when mixed with other FO's?: The CP soap in the photo did not contain vanilla stabilizer. Be sure you used the correct amount of stabilizer which would be 2:1. If using this fragrance, you will always need the stabilizer, even if blending with a non-vanilla fragrance. The stabilizer will lessen browning, but may not completely prevent. There also might be other ingredients in this that are causing the browning. You might try using equal parts of FO and VCS or incorporate the color into your soap design like chocolate/coffee
