Cranberry Orange CP Soap Recipe

Using polypropylene containers, pour the lye into the water. Carefully mix in a well-ventilated area and set aside to cool while you prepare your remaining oils.

Add all the oils and butters to measuring cup and melt in the microwave or on stove top. Set aside.

Insert dividers into the mold. For this design we only used 2 long dividers with the end pieces with four sections. This created one section that was offset so there was orange soap on either side of the red stripe.

Using mini mixer, blend matte ruby red and 1/8 tsp. orange salsa mica with a small amount of melted oils.

When both the lye mixture and the oils are 120ºF or below, add sodium lactate to the lye water. Pour the lye mixture into the oils. Stick blend until you reach a thin trace and then add fragrance oil.

Add approximately 10 oz. of batter to the red colorant in funnel pitcher.

Add 1 tsp. orange salsa mica powder and orange powder to the remaining batter and blend well.

Blend the red soap and then pour into the small divided section.

Pour the remaining orange batter in the other sections. Fill as high as possible and then tap the mold on the counter to release any air bubbles.

Slowly remove the dividers first, and then the end pieces. If you have any remaining soap batter you can pour it on top of the corresponding colored section.

Using the hanger tool, swirl the inside of the loaf. For our design we went back and forth from the bottom of the mold to the top and then in a circular motion.

When you are satisfied with the swirl, use a chopstick or skewer to swirl the top.

Allow to set for 24 hours or longer until soap is firm enough to unmold. Unmold and slice. Let soap cure 4-6 weeks.

Package and label accordingly.
