Soak in a spooky potion of skin-loving butters of cocoa and kokum. Throw in some pumpkin seed oil and colloidal oatmeal to soften your skin. Add a pinch of charcoal along with the scent of tart, crisp apples and you have a wicked blend to soak away the toils and troubles of the day! If baths are not your thing, use the melt in the shower and as the warm water hits the bar, gently rub it onto your skin to soothe and soften.

Step 1

In a microwave-safe container, heat 2.58 oz. Cocoa Butter, 0.54 oz. Kokum Butter and 0.42 oz. Pumpkin Seed Oil until melted.

Step 2

Stir in 0.72 oz. Colloidal Oatmeal and whisk until mixture is smooth and without lumps.

Step 3

Whisk in 1.20 oz. Polysorbate 80 until smooth.

Step 4

Add 0.24 oz. Isopropyl Myristate, 0.20 oz. fragrance, 0.12 oz. Charcoal and 0.06 oz. Vitamin E and blend until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Step 5

Place plastic mold on cookie sheet for stability.

Step 6

When mixture has cooled to around 125°F, stir and pour into all three mold cavities starting with the single one on the bottom. Immediately place in refrigerator to harden. Once hardened, you may see a thin layer of butter on the top. This is normal because the charcoal will naturally settle to the bottom.

Step 7

Unmold once melts have hardened. Wrap each melt in plastic wrap and set aside.

Step 8

Repeat steps to make second set of three bath melts.

Step 9

Package each melt in a cello bag and tie closed with raffia.

Step 10

Label product accordingly.

To Use

To Use: Let melt in warm water of bath tub.  If desired, use in shower to moisturize skin by rubbing bath melt onto wet skin 

Note: Caution should be taken when entering and exiting bath as butters may make tub slippery.  Bath melts are soft. Caution should be taken if making or shipping in warmer climates.
